The Perk, Thursday Afternoon

Not really feeling like spending the day in his shop, Geoff wanders into the Perk instead. Grabbing a cup of coffee and a sandwich, he settles in at a table near the back. He sets out an ink pot and several sheets of paper, and starts writing.

After journalism class, Angela walks into town for a caffeine-and-muffin fix. She waves to Geoof as she walks in. "Hi, sorry for taking off so fast yesterday."

Geoff looks up and motions for her to take a seat. "It's all right, Angela. I promise I'm not offended." He smiles and collects the papers into a neat stack.

Angela pays for a chocolate-chip muffin and a large black coffee, then indicates Geoff's table with her head. "Okay if I join you? We, um, didn't finish talking yesterday."

[OOC: I seem to type Geoff as Geoof at least half the time. It probably doesn't help that I think "Gee-off" instead of "Jeff."]

Angela takes a seat and begins shredding the paper muffin cup.

"So ... um, first, what's going on with you and Paige? I haven't had a chance to talk to her in a while."

Geoff nods, as though he expected this topic to come up. "We...I broke it off. I felt as though we were moving too fast, and I wanted to give Paige some space to be her own person for a while. It...didn't go well."

Looking away from Angela, a pained look suddenly appears on his face. "I-- I'm sorry, Angela. I have to go." He grabs up his papers and heads swiftly out the door.

[ooc: We can continue at Geoff's if you like. Sorry for him to run out -- he just can't handle being in the same place as Paige right now.]

Angela blanches, glancing over at Paige. She had wondered whether Geoff and Paige might be taking it too fast, but they looked so happy, and it wasn't her place to comment anyhow.

"I'll go with you," she offers, picking up her cup and the remains of her muffin.

[OOC: Sure. And the dude really is hurting, isn't he? Poor Geoff.]

[ooc: Well, it used to be "Home of the Silver Lake Sea Serpent", but seeing as how the whole thing was proven to be a hoax about a hundred years ago, they decided to change it. We used to parade a replica of the hoax-serpent-balloon down Main Street as part of our July 4th festival. Or maybe I shouldn't mention that.]

((gee, my town's got a pretty boring motto of "the old pueblo." Then again, it's grown to more than just a little old wild west town too...Now we're pretty much meth central and part of the cocaine/pot/meth corridor from Mexico. I think I like the wild west thing better.))

Having taken control of Evil!Paige, after she stormed out on Sawyer, Paige walks in looking tired, she doesn't even notice Geoff at first.

She ordered a double expresso and went to sit down, she was gonna have to find something she could at least pass off as poetry before next week, or she'd be handing in a piece of his own work and that just felt odd.

She got out her ipod and started to listen to Goldfrapp, big mistake!

She takes out a note starts to write out the words - How can it be I can taste you now? How can it be I can see, when you're everywhere, all my world in one grain of sand and you own it> All my world in one grain of sand and I've blown it
