The Park, near the pond, Morning

Tick sat down at the C.R.A.C.K. table in the park HQ that happened to be located in the park. All around him was urbanized nature, beautiful in how the benches and bridges interacted with the trees, the pond, the frogs...

He was getting his notes together to investigate the thief that stole certain body parts from Zaphod. His investigation would be based here, so if anyone wanted to chat with the large, blue chum, he'd be happy to talk! Even if they can't tell him that he's on a wild goose chase spun out from the Fear Toxin thing.

There was a blue guy sitting at the table in the park. She shouldn't be surprised after all, Red wasn't entirely normal either. Still, there was a blue guy sitting at a table in the park. Tex approached carefully, although even that in her armour looked pretty threatingly.

Tick looked over at the approaching person. "Hello, Armored Citizen! How are you this fine morning?"

Tex frowned, but decided to reply. She was too curious not to. "Fine."

"A fine day, indeed! The birds are chirping, the fish are swimming, the grass is being blown gently in the breeze. Fine indeed." Tick took a deep breath of that fresh park air and exhaled. "I'm The Tick. It's nice to meet you!"

Tex didn't inhale, her armour filtered the air so there really was no point. "I'm Tex," she replied, wondering what The Tick was smoking. "Are you from space?"

[Crowley walks out of the Rare Book Shop and lights a cigarette. Seeing new and interesting figures in the park, he crosses the street.]

Aziraphale? Join me in the park, angel. There's something most interesting over there.

Tex turned and studied the new guy carefully.

[Aziraphale smiles and nods at the...well, he has no idea what it is, but he can see it has a soul inside so he smiles at it anyway. Although, likely he would've smiled even had it turned out to be a toaster. Just to be polite.]

[Aziraphale pokes his head out the door of the shop and looks out over the park.]

Ah. I see what you mean. [He closes the door behind him and smiles at Crowley.]

Tick sees the two men walking over. "Hello, citizens! Beautiful day, isn't it?"

Becky is walking through the part, trying to find a decent signal for her phone, when she spots the big...blue man near the pond. She looks around for the trollop she'd run into yesterday, and upon not seeing her, smiles.

Wonder why I haven't seen him before... she muses. She begins to saunter towards him.

"Hi there, sweetie. How're you?"

Tick was looking through some papers, not looking up for a moment. "Hello there, citizen, how are --" Tick finally looked up. "Rory! Egads! You're supposed to be in detention!"

Tick's antennae curled in confusion. "Did you call me 'sweetie?'"

Becky sighs and blows a lock of hair out of her face, shifting her weight and resting a hand on her hip. "Sugar, I'm not that goody two-shoes from the school, Rory, though I guess we look alike. The name's Becky. What's that you're working on?"

Tick still looked shocked. His antennae seemed alert. Either this girl was telling the truth or someone gave Rory a big box of crazy for her birthday.

"'Sugar?' Um, I'm investigating a crime. Something about missing... I'm sorry, are you sure you're not Rory? You look just like her." Tick paused for a second. "Except or the clothes. And jewlry. And lack of color."

Becky smiles. "Yeah, I'm told I'm the prettier of the two of us," she replies, managing to keep her preening to a minimum. "But sweetheart, I promise you, I'm not Rory. From what I understand, that little girl wouldn't dress like me, act like me, or do the work I do if you offerered her every book in the damn library. Which I'm told would be like, the best thing to ever be offered to her."

She tilts her head. "So...you're investigating a crime? You're not a cop, are you?"

Miho skates by on her way to the post office with her weekly update for Dwight. She nods to Becky as she glides past.

Tell Gail I still fucking hate her and they've apparently closed enrollment up at that school. Club dull, but it pays. Boss apparently missing.
