Spike's Pub - Saturday October 22 - 5 pm

The pub's jukebox had apparently been tampered with, as it was refusing to play anything but the Monster Mash over and over again, and Spike had spent a good half hour before opening struggling with it and cursing. Eventually giving up, he checked the stock before finally opening the pub for business.

After spending all day working in their barn on their current project and a few hours at the local library for something Yazoo had going, the brothers struck off for Spike's. Weekends were usually busy but there was apparently some birthday last night so Spike's was calm then.

Parking their bikes further down the street, they armed and alarmed and walked into Spike's pub ready to work if he needed, hang around if he didn't.

Paige walked in around 9pm, she just wanted a drink, not totally sure who'd be working tonight she was kinda nervous, all she wanted was a nice vodka and coke or anything alcoholic for that matter

Loz got up from his spot behind Kadaj at the end of the bar but Kadaj's arm across his path stopped him. He snorted and went back to his spot, letting Yazoo wait on Paige.

Spike was helping another patron so Yazoo stepped over to Paige and leaned on the bar with a smile. "Hey," he said. "What can I get you?"

Paige was pretty glad Loz was't serving her, she just didn't need the stress right now, "just a double vodka and coke please" she said smiling weakly

Fixing her drink, Yazoo pushed it over to her and leaned on the bar again. "You look stressed."

She nods slowly, "Yeah you could say that, I didn't think you'd want to talk to be though, I've been a bit messed up lately. Sorry"

she sighs and looks over at Loz for a split second

"Well, yeah..." Yazoo nodded in agreement. "You have."

He followed Paige's gaze to his brother, who was watching the pub at that moment.

She sighs, "Look it won't happen again, well hopefully not anyway, but I am sorry if I've pissed off you or your brothers."

She takes a long sip of her drink "I just seem to have this amazing talent for fucking up at the moment. But I don't want to stop drinking her and I don't want to have to avoid people cos of what I've siad."

"Most people don't care until affects them directly," Yazoo said philosophically. "Some people care only because it gives them control, or so they think."

She nods at the part about people getting control as she takes another big drink. "Yeah I could really do with getting back in control of a few things."

She looks up at him, she looks tired and depressed, "so we're cool right?"

Yazoo shrugged. "Us not being 'cool' would imply that I cared." He smiled and tilted his head. "So, we're cool."

She laughs just a little, "well as long as all the threats stop that suits me, I don't mind whether you care or not."

She finishes the drink, "can I get another please?"

He picked up her glass. "Double?"

She smiles a little as she looks at him, "always!"

"Just checking." A double shot of vodka and topping off with coke, he slid the new one in front of her.

She nods and takes the drink, she just hopes all this is over and done with soon, she wants to read her new books but knows if the evil one catches her she'd destroy them.

She rests her head on the bar for a moment then looks up at Yazoo, her eyes teary, "could you do me a favour? Don't let me get too yeah? I have a habit of doing really stupid things when I'm drunk."

Yazoo smiled. "Yeah. I'll keep an eye on it."

[ooc- Sorry he's not more communicative. *g* They get that way from time to time.]

She smiles back, "Thanks."

He watched her for a while as he took care of other customers. Whatever her issues were, they were pretty fucked up. Almost like she was two different people. It would have been too easy to have torn at her just then.

Easy wasn't necessarily fun.

[ooc- Spike's player has gone for the night and The Brothers' player is listening to a thunderstorm rattle the windows.

I'm watching the entry for any customers but if I don't answer within an hour, assume I've lost power. I appologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Don't start fights, don't have sex in the bathrooms. Those two things are guaranteed to have the brothers all over you. Otherwise, Kadaj and Yazoo are working the bar and Loz is sulking.]
