In the Park

Rory strolls through the park. Normally, she wouldn't be out after dark, but she had recently found a reason to be.

Ahead of her, Vladdie happily scampers along on his leash, pausing to sniff everything. And if one were to look at the bag over her shoulder carefully, one might notice a pair of bunny ears sticking out.

Barbossa was walking back from Galactica Point, taking a stroll through the woods when he spotted Rory and the puppy Jake had told him about on the far side.

He smiled. The puppy didn't seem all that evil.

[identity profile] likeguidelines.livejournal.com 2005-10-23 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
Barbossa knelt down to stop the running puppy. "Who be a cute little blood-suckin' fiend?" he cooed at the dog when no one else was in earshot. "You be, that be right."

[identity profile] likeguidelines.livejournal.com 2005-10-23 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
"It be quite all right, Rory." Barbossa tried to pet the capering puppy. "He be quite...fuzzy." He turned back to the dog. "Ye be growin' up to a righteous terror, won't ye?"

[identity profile] likeguidelines.livejournal.com 2005-10-23 04:30 am (UTC)(link)
"Really?" Barbossa asked. "That be an interestin' little trait. What else can this fearsome beastie do?"

[identity profile] likeguidelines.livejournal.com 2005-10-23 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
Barbossa roared with approval. "Now I do be seein' everything." He applauded. "That be quite the puppy ye have thar."

[identity profile] likeguidelines.livejournal.com 2005-10-23 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
"Ye be the terror o' the air, t'be sure, Vladdie," Barbossa said to the dog, "And I be lookin' forward t'seein' what other tricks ye may have up yer doggy collar."

[identity profile] likeguidelines.livejournal.com 2005-10-23 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
Barbossa watched with amusement. "Well, perhaps not. But he be thinkin' he be a terror. Wouldn't want to be bruisin' his wee doggie ego." He began walking. "I be seein' ye both back at the house, I suppose? With the most fearsome Logan bunny, too?"

Quistis was walking through the quiet, the hood of her jacket drawn up. She couldn't help but smile at the sight of the dog. "How cute," she commented, pausing near the two.

[identity profile] professortrepe.livejournal.com 2005-10-23 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
"It's a pleasure," Quistis smiled, pushing back her hood. Her loose blonde hair spilled out. She offered her hand, "I'm Quistis Trepe. I'm running the new book store." She looked at the rabbit the way a podracer eyed cheap parts.

[identity profile] professortrepe.livejournal.com 2005-10-23 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
"Your rabbit is adorable," the blonde murmured, a smile playing at her lips.

[identity profile] professortrepe.livejournal.com 2005-10-23 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
Quistis laughed, and pulled her glasses off. She made an attempt to wipe the lenses with a handkerchief, then gave up, tucking them into her purse. "How did that happen?" She inquired. Things that odd never happened where she came from...

[identity profile] professortrepe.livejournal.com 2005-10-23 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
Quistis flashed a smile, and brushed her fingers against the soft rabbit fur. "Rather sudden, huh? That's always rough," she murmured, looking at the bunny.

[identity profile] professortrepe.livejournal.com 2005-10-23 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
Quistis almost grinned, "You wouldn't believe how many times I said that about a friend of mine from back home."

[identity profile] professortrepe.livejournal.com 2005-10-23 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
"Balamb Garden...it was a sort of military academy." Quistis explained, "I was a teacher there, until... well, the administration was pretty corrupt. They told me I was too young and that I lacked leadership abilities, once they needed an assassination job done. I was sent to do field work, with some of my own students." She sighed, "I was only a few months older them, but...still..."

"I didn't mean it literally," she clarified, "One of my students - we'd all gone to the same orphanage as children - had changed a lot over the years. He was cold and bitter by the time we were close to each other again..." A corner of her mouth lifted in a slightly self-depriciating way.
