Tuesday Morning at the Museum

Amanda is in her office, with the door open and she seems to be in a relatively decent mood. She still needs more staff, but Amanda is not one to worry so much, at least not about this. In fact, she's feeling rather good about things today.

It's spot on four when Beka arrives at the Museum. Beka's dressed in black jeans, black boots, scoop neck black tank, black velvet ribbon choker with a silver and turquoise pendant. The pendant is the only color she wears except the matching turquoise-leather tag she has just clipped to a black leather armband that reads "Ethics Class Mistress".

As she approaches the doors to the Museum, she stops, and speaks to Buffy in very soft tones. "If you're ready, here's your tag." She holds out a silvery tag for Buffy that reads "Cherished Ethics Class Slave". "My orders for this first task are simple:

1. For the duration of our visit, you will address me as "Morning Star" as agreed. I'll call you whatever seems fitting.

2. You may not speak directly to anyone but me without my permission. The only exception to this is if I do something to you that you need to report to My Lady, Daddy, and/or Major K!.

3. If you want anything, or want to do anything - anything Buffy, so err on the side of caution - you will ask permission first. If permission is not granted, you will not have or do that thing.

4. After accepting this assignment, you will not meet my gaze until I tell you it's finished. However you may meet the gaze of anyone who is not an Ethics Class Master, and you may look at things you need to interact with.

5. You may always express gratitude with the phrase "Thank you, Morning Star" or "Thank you, Mistress". If you need to ask for something, you must begin with the phrase, "If it pleases Mistress."

Will you accept this task, sweetheart?"

[After Buffy agrees, Buffy and Beka are open to interaction with Amanda.]

Buffy is fastening her tag on as she listens to Beka outline her directions for the foreseeable future. At the end, she took a deep breath and made sure her eyes were lowered.

"If Mistress wishes."

Oh, she was going to have to work hard on the eye thing.

Beka stroked Buffy's cheek with her knuckles. Her voice came a little too low, a little too soft, and her heart beat a little too fast when she said, "Mistress wishes, little huntress."

She forced herself to breathe. Nothing wrong with enjoying it, she heard Angelus in her mind, but quickly shut that down. For now, it was just a jaunt to the Museum.

"Can I help you ladies?" Amanda asks, she's out of her office now.

"Hey," Beka says pleasantly, if a little too quickly looking away from Buffy. "Beka Valentine. We exchanged voicemails."

Buffy hissed a startled breath at Beka's touch, but forced herself not to step away.

"Thank you for allowing me to serve, Morning Star."

Her neck felt strained already from looking down. It might be good for her Slayer training, though, to rely on her other senses.

Duncan stops by, looking over the displays. He's particularly looking for things of uncertain provenance. He frowns at the tags as he passes Beka and Buffy but keeps quiet.

"Excuse me a moment." Amanda says, spotting Duncan. She runs to him and basically jumps into his arms, she's definitely happy to see him.

He stops frowning, picks her up, and swings her around, grinning. He puts her down briefly and pretends to be bemused. "Hey, do I know you?"

"Not really, but I've never been one for being subtle." Amanda smirks. "So I gather Methos told you."

"Nope, I found you all one my own. New museum and all."

"It has been a long time, I left you a message. The flowers were lovely. So Methos tells me you're a gym teacher now." Amanda muses

Duncan stops by to say hello, contd.

"You're right. And I believe you. I just worry about you." His voice has the tone of concerned caring, not lecturing within an inch of her life. (She's probably heard both a lot....)

"Wouldn't miss it. You could come by for lunch sometime or anytime during the day this week, I am rather bored here all alone. I've taken to watching day time soaps and I'd love to show you my apartment."
