In the park: before getting ready for Goth Night

Maia sat staring into the fountain, her first day back in classes was harder then she thought it was going to be. Still, after talking with Tara she felt better about things she was seeing. It was normal. Maia smiled to herself, normal had never been applied to any description about her...ever. She liked it. Maia looked up and smiled at nothing in particular, she just smiled. It felt nice. She laid back on the bench letting the sunlight hit her in the face. Normal She smiled again letting the sun warm her up.

((Feel free to play if you want, MUN is just happy to be back at FH and Maia is too.))

A familiar voice speaks from behind Maia. "Good afternoon, my dear. You seem to be feeling better."

[ooc: This could turn into a slow-play, as I had plans for tonight that have fallen through sort-of but not completely and now I don't know what's going on. :)]

Aziraphale sits down next to her. He looks tired, and just a little bit sad, but calm.

"Then I'm delighted to see you. What is your news, my dear?"

[identity profile] a-phale.livejournal.com 2005-10-27 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
At the mention of Diana, Aziraphale gives her a sad smile. "What did you tell her?"

[identity profile] a-phale.livejournal.com 2005-10-27 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
"Not at all, my dear. It was your choice to make. And I would say, judging from your demeanor, that you made the right choice." His smile is a little bit brighter, a little less regretful.

[identity profile] a-phale.livejournal.com 2005-10-27 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Aziraphale pats her hand, shaking his head. "No, my dear. He is rarely upset when one excercises one's Free Will. Perhaps He meant for you to save her instead."

[identity profile] a-phale.livejournal.com 2005-10-27 10:22 pm (UTC)(link)
The look in his eyes tells Maia that her friend is deeply touched by her words. "Thank you, my dear. I feel the same."

[identity profile] a-phale.livejournal.com 2005-10-27 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yes, my dear, you are." Aziraphale returns her smile. "I'm happy to see that you're doing so well. I was quite worried."

[identity profile] a-phale.livejournal.com 2005-10-27 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)
"In a place such as this, my dear, there is either no 'normal' or no 'abnormal'."

[identity profile] a-phale.livejournal.com 2005-10-27 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
"I believe he's rather enjoying it here." There's a slight hesitation in his voice. "He seems to be making friends."

[identity profile] a-phale.livejournal.com 2005-10-28 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
He considers lying to Maia, but quickly gives it up as pointless. He's never been any good at lying to strangers, let alone to those who know him well.

"We had...a bit of a squabble last night, Crowley and I."

[identity profile] a-phale.livejournal.com 2005-10-28 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
Patting her arm reassuringly, Aziraphale says, "It's all right, my dear. We have an understanding, Crowley and I." He completely dodges her question.

[identity profile] a-phale.livejournal.com 2005-10-28 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
"Perhaps the next time you come by the shop, if he's there."

[identity profile] a-phale.livejournal.com 2005-10-28 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
Aziraphale smiles. "Since the Beginning, my dear."

[identity profile] a-phale.livejournal.com 2005-10-28 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
"No, my dear. No evil." He gives Maia an amused look. "Crowley will try to tell you otherwise, of course. But that's his job. Don't you believe him."

[identity profile] a-phale.livejournal.com 2005-10-28 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
Aziraphale looks pleased. "I'm glad, my dear. I would like to meet him." He pats Maia's arm, happy to see her looking so well.

[identity profile] a-phale.livejournal.com 2005-10-28 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm not leaving, my dear. It was quite sudden, I know, and I'm so sorry I wasn't able to talk to you before."

[identity profile] a-phale.livejournal.com 2005-10-28 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
Aziraphale smiles down at Maia, realizing how often she turned his own 'tricks' against him. "It was very important, my dear. But I don't expect to have errands like that very often."

[identity profile] a-phale.livejournal.com 2005-10-28 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
"Go off on errands, do you mean? No, I don't suppose I do, my dear. I much prefer to stay here with my books and my ducks...and my friends."

[identity profile] a-phale.livejournal.com 2005-10-28 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
With a shocked look, Aziraphale turns to Maia. "Goodness no, my dear. Nothing like that. I'm not that sort..." He falters for a second, but remembers that Maia knows. "I'm not that sort of angel, my dear. Not the smiting kind."

[identity profile] a-phale.livejournal.com 2005-10-28 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
He pats her arm. "Crowley tempts, I thwart. That's all. We're both of us really not very important, my dear. So there isn't anything for you to be concerned over."

[identity profile] a-phale.livejournal.com 2005-10-28 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
Aziraphale looks very pleased. Really, it was lovely having so many friends.

"Thank you, my dear. But there's no reason to be concerned. I'm quite content."

[identity profile] a-phale.livejournal.com 2005-10-28 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
Aziraphale gives Maia a rare, gentle hug. "I hope you'll come visit the shop again soon, my dear. I do miss seeing you there."
