Wolfram and Hart, Friday
A ringing phone was the first thing Lilah heard as she walked into the office that morning. Because she was in hell, there was no voicemail. It kept ringing until she picked it up.
"Wolfram and Hart, Lilah Morgan speaking."
"Yes, sir."
"No, I was unaware of that, sir."
"I understand that, sir, but I don't think that would be a good..."
"She tried to eat me, sir. And most of the LA office."
"Yes, I know she didn't succeed, but it's still the principle of the..."
"No, it's not a problem, sir. Of course. Thank you."
She hung up the phone. Damn it.Stupid Senior Partners and their needing to have their fingers directly inside the raging pulse of the next apocalypse. Looked like Darla was going to be her new legal intern, whether she wanted it or not.
Was it too early to head out for a drink?
