The Haven was awash with the usual comforting soft light. The clutter had been straightened somewhat. The few boxes that had remained had been completely unpacked and cleared away. A keen eye would notice that the lowest shelves in the back of the bookstore, the ones that contained all the prank items, had new merchandise including Ton-Tongue Toffees, Mister Filibuster's Fabulous Wet-Start, No Heat Fireworks and the like.

As always, the public computers were on for anyone to use, though they were idling. The shop was perfumed by herbal teas and fresh coffee, mingled with the scent of still-warm pastries and rich, almost intoxicating brownies. Today, however, saucer-sized cookies had joined the mix.

Quistis herself sat neatly at a table not too far from the cafe counter, looking in much better shape than she had several days ago. Her expression was tranquil, slightly smiling. She looked approachable as she waited for a customer to show up, occasionally taking a sip of tea or a small bite of a large pastry.
