OPEN -- OCTOBER 29

Vitaly turns on the bright neon sign that indicates that their Russian Resturant is open today, there's also a sign that says 20% OFF ON MEALS FOR PARENTS WEEKEND scribbed in Vitaly's sloppy handwriting. There's also the standard ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS -- APPLY INSIDE!.

The menus Yuri had set out on the tables earlier in the week were still there and begging to be ordered from, the cook at the ready and Vitaly already antsy.

[[OOC: Mun will be babysitting today but they do have a computer so I might pop in, please if I'm not here make your own threads and have fun with your characters parents!]]

Sydney and Sam arrive at the restaurant. Sam looms. Sydney is relaxed.

They wait for Ms. Parker.

Parker hurries up, late because of the Gun Club exhibit, and smiles when she sees Sydney. "Sorry that took so long. Did you have any trouble finding it?"

[identity profile] centre-sydney.livejournal.com 2005-10-30 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
"No, Ms. Parker. Your directions were excellent." They turn to the host, who seats them, and hands them menus (http://www.livejournal.com/users/vitalyorlov/1069.html).

"Bear meat. Reindeer meat," Parker reads, chortling, after a minute to go over the choices. "Jarod would...." She stops, and looks at Sam.

"Sit over there, please. I want to have a *private* conversation." She points to a table about twenty feet away. "You can do your job from there, can't you?"

[identity profile] centre-sydney.livejournal.com 2005-10-30 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
Sam says nothing, looks at Syndey, looks at Ms. Parker, then goes and seats at the table Ms. Parker pointed at. He is very attentive -- but cannot hear.

[identity profile] centre-sydney.livejournal.com 2005-10-30 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
"Jarod's fine. You know that." Sydney pauses over the menu, eyebrows raised. "Have you eaten here before?"

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2005-10-30 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
"No, this place just opened." She taps her fingers against the menu, and then nods as the waitress appears. "Cucumbers, caviar, the bear meat cutlets, and the mushroom soup, please."

She waits until after Sydney places his order, then says, in a very low voice, "I spoke to Jarod on the phone last night."

[identity profile] centre-sydney.livejournal.com 2005-10-30 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
"Herring, sauerkraut and meat soup, and borsch." Sydney hands off his menu and attends to Parker. "Really? Was this before or after you were hospitalized for your ulcer flaring up?" His words are mild. Very, very mild.

"Have you considered reporting Angelus to the proper authorities? The school administrators should be able to stop him if he is breaking rules. And I will take your warning to heart. No blonde girlfriends in idle hotel corridors."

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2005-10-30 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
Parker rolls her eyes again, and then says, "What would I say? All students are to be treated as if they have a clean sheet. No record. Any suspicions of them is regarded as paranoid." She shakes her head. "I'm thinking of recording all conversations he has, actually. I have no proof. Just my word that he's made threats against the school. Maybe that has to be enough."

[identity profile] centre-sydney.livejournal.com 2005-10-30 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
"That sounds wise," says Sydney, who has spent far too much of his adult life at the Centre. "Well, then, since our meals are done and you can have neither dessert nor coffee, what is next for us?"

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2005-10-30 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
"A walk around Fandom Town?" Parker offers. "It's not exciting, but I'd like to show you Azriphale's bookshop, and a few other places..."

She pauses as she sees someone enter the restraunt. "Well, well. Look who's here. (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomtownies/258176.html?thread=10343808#t10343808)"

[identity profile] centre-sydney.livejournal.com 2005-10-30 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
Sydney stands and gallently helps Ms. Parker from her chair, the way a father does with a child who is playing adult. "I will gladly follow you wherever you lead." He notices the two men standing across the way. "Professors?"

*checking in* Whoever has this account? Contact me, will you? We're hoping to use it again for Parents' Weekend. If you don't remember the password, just re-set it.

[identity profile] suzotchka.livejournal.com 2005-10-30 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
Ivanova, her look of worried distraction perfected now, hurries into the restaurant and searches out her new employers. "Ah, I'm very, very sorry, and very grateful for the job, but my guardian is visiting for Parents' Weekend and I have my hands full trying to keep him out of trouble. I can start on Monday, I swear."

[identity profile] yuriorlov.livejournal.com 2005-10-30 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
Studying her face intently with a hand on his chin he wonders about a response and After a moment he finds it. "Tell me." he starts with that serious look on his face. "Why do you love your guardian more than your job?" And then waits for a response.

[identity profile] yuriorlov.livejournal.com 2005-10-30 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
Looking at his brother he makes a frown. "Brother. Let me take care of this ok?" He says trying to drown the dissmissing nature in brotherly concern.

It was a subtle thing but Wilson always held doors for House as a rule and tonight was no different. Waiting until House stepped on through, Wilson followed him.

"I'm not kidding, Greg he had little aliens all over his boxer shorts, though he claimed they weren't his."

Taking a deep breath, the oncologist looked around sniffing curiously.

"Definitely smells good in here, do we seat ourselves do you think?"

[ooc: If anyone wants to say hello to the docs, feel free to stop by.>

[identity profile] gotcanewillpoke.livejournal.com 2005-10-30 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
House shook his head at Wilson's account of boxer shorts and aliens.

"Well, there's no hostess, and no 'Please wait to be seated' sign. And there's a table free over there." He stopped, sighed. "And our dear friend Parker is here too. Don't look at her, maybe she won't notice us."

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2005-10-30 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
Parker grins at him across the room. Way too late.

[identity profile] dr-jwilsonmd.livejournal.com 2005-10-30 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
Wilson was already moving towards a booth he saw off near a window with House spoke and his eyes slid over to Parker. Chuckling at the older man's grump, he smiled and waved back to Parker before touching House's elbow.

"Come on, she looks busy, I don't think she'll be stalking your red lollipops tonight."

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2005-10-30 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
Parker moves to intercept them on their way over to a booth, looking very pleased with herself. "Dr. Wilson. Dr. House. Allow me to introduce my godfather, Dr. Sydney LaVert. We're on our way out, but I just had to stop by and say hi." She grins more evilly at House. "Hiiii."

[identity profile] centre-sydney.livejournal.com 2005-10-30 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm delighted to meet anyone who takes such good care of Parker. Doctor. Doctor." Sydney reins in the desire to start talking specialties.
