The Perk - Early Monday...

Shane sits at her usual table, feet curled up in the seat, a book cradled in her lap. A cup of Black Death sits steaming rather innocuously in its mug on the table in front of her, but only occasionally does she reach over to pick it up and take a sip. Sitting next to the mug is a notebook and occasionally, Shane will drag it down off of the table and pull the pen from the corner of her mouth in order to jot something down.

Duce fidgets, "We never see Wednesday anymore, and we feel like we're taking over her space. Think we need our own space to clutter up and lounge around in." She shrugs, knowing it's a weak answer, but not knowing how to put it in better terms.

"The bed thing really squicked you, huh?" Duce sounds sympathetic, "The Manor.. has it's own sense of fun. It can get pretty damn horrifying if you're not expecting it." She takes a sip and adds, "Or even if you totally expect it. At least Kate was there with you."

"Yeah, I... I think I get that," she says. "I really like my place. I'm not moving into the dorms. I like it there too much."

"We weren't," Shane says, making a face. "I mean... I'll probably think it was pretty cool. In... five more years or something." She smirks. "And yeah, I'm -- I'm glad Kate was there... even though I think she was even more freaked than I was... but we're okay."

"That's good," Duce sounds hugely relieved, "At least it sounds like it wasn't something too traumatic. And hey, any reason to cuddle, even if it is with the willies, right?" She sounds almost wistful.

"Yeah," Shane murmurs quietly, one corner of her mouth curling up.

Duce grins and looks at her watch. Waving a hand, she extracts herself from the seat, "Time to motor. Catch you later, Shane! Have a good day!"

Ambling over to the counter, she pays for their coffee and heads out.
