Phale's Rare Books, Monday Afternoon/Evening

Anyone entering Aziraphale's shop today will be greeted by a new addition -- a comfortable reading area near the back of the shop, complete with comfy armchairs, two couches, and several tables and lamps. An assortment of sandwiches, cookies, and tarts are laid out on trays, accompanied by carafes of hot tea, coffee, and cocoa.

Those visitors looking for Aziraphale himself will find him sitting in his usual chair near the window, examining a copy of Romeo and Juliet and looking rather perplexed.

Elizabeth enters the shop for the first time, looking around curiously

Looking up from his book, Aziraphale smiles at the young lady as she enters. "Good day, my dear. How can I help you?"

Elizabeth smiles back. "Hi there. I'm looking for foreign language books... Russian books and authors in particular."

Aziraphale stands up and waves for Elizabeth to follow him as he examines the bookcases. "I'm sure I can help you. Are you looking for any specific subject or author?"

Paige walks in on her way to meeting Jonathan at The Haven

"Mr Phale, I'm sorry I've not been in until now."

With a slighly raised eyebrow, Aziraphale smiles at Paige. "How are you feeling, Miss Matthews."

"apart from finding out my destiny is to protect innocents from evil and as such I will the target of evil I'm ok, mainly. I just wanted to thank you for helping me. I-I was possessed wasn't I? Only a few people seem to doubt it and well I know I saw you pull something out of me but I was hoping perhaps you could explain what happened."

"I'm afraid it isn't for me to explain it, my dear. Yes, I can tell you something was there. But I can't tell you how it got there, or how it gained control over you. The only person who can answer that is you.

I can give you this advice, however: don't concern yourself with trying to change what people believe. Generally speaking, the harder you push, the faster they're likely to run. Do what you think is right, and concern yourself with your own well-being, and the others will come around. Those who don't -- it's very likely they never would have."

Curiosity and perhaps the scent of more coffee finally drew him into the book store. He'd made note of it a couple of times, just hadn't been able to make time to stop by.

Well...sometimes you just had to force the issue. Besides, maybe he could find a book that might help distract his mind from other repetative thoughts.

Aziraphale looks up from his book and smiles. "Good day, Mister Wilson."

Wow...both of them managed to be disconcerting. Crawley because...it was Crawley and Aziraphale because he knew his name.

Still, Wilson managed a bewildered but friendly smile to both men.

"Good evening, gentlemen. Ah..." Pause, blink then blurting out the first thing that came to mind he asked curious. "Do you serve coffee here?"

Maia walks in the shop and looks around. "Aziraphale?" She said looking at the counter.

"Yes, my dear?" Aziraphale's voice calls out from the back of the shop.

"Oh good you are here. I just wanted to come see you today I was in town and I missed you. I didn't get a chance to see you at the party last night."

At the mention of the party, Aziraphale colors slightly. "I'm sorry I missed you, my dear. Did you enjoy yourself?"

He felt like a child. He really was one, if one thought about it. Standing outside of Aziraphale's shop, Yazoo watched the comings and goings of the customers. He wanted to go back in for more of the chocolate that was hot. He wanted to know about the white sweet things that went in it.

But he didn't want to deal with all the other people so he paced across the street and watched until the shop appeared to clear out before he entered the store.

Aziraphale is well aware that Yazoo had been watching the shop for quite some time. He smiles at the young man as he enters, and pours him a cup of chocolate.

"Good evening, my dear."

"Hey," he said softly. Taking the cup, Yazoo blew over the surface before taking a sip. His eyes closed as he savored the taste.

Thanks to the insanity of Parents Weekend as well as the Halloween ball, it seemed as though everyone at school and town were still trying to sleep the whole weekend of. Her shift at Deb's had been completely uneventful but she still hung on, grinning at the sight of Deb and Carl still in their costumes.

So Shane finds herself strolling along the street, hands in the pockets of her hoodie, and notices the lights on at Mr. Phale's. She frowns a little, wondering if she'll find Mr. Phale there or his ... 'friend'.

She tries the door and finds it unlocked and pokes her head inside.

Tara turns, smiles, and puts a finger to her mouth, gesturing to Crowley and Phale, arms around one another.

She backs away quietly, and murmurs, "Hi there," in a low voice.

(frozen comment)

"Tara, hey," Shane says, sounding very pleasantly surprised as she steps into the shop, letting the door glide closed behind her. "How are you?"

Her eyes find their way to Crowley and Phale and her brows wrinkle just slightly but her smile lingers. "Hi," she says to the both of them. "I hope I'm not... bothering you guys."

Aziraphale involuntarily licks his lips, remembering as well. He closes his eyes and pushes his reservations away, into the back of his mind, and then takes the one last step that brings him to Crowley.

[Slowly, softly, he leans forward to close the distance. His lips brush the angels, and he smiles against Aziraphale's mouth.]

The sensation of the demon's lips on his is all it takes to bring Aziraphale fully into the moment. He moves closer, pressing his lips against Crowley's, touching them slightly with the tip of his tongue, wanting to taste.

Tara whirls around, her voice trembling with anger.

"ANTHONY J. CROWLEY!"

[He breaks the kiss with the willing angel and with deep annoyance...]
WHAT do you want, Witch? I thought you were the one so hot for us to be lovey-dovey, right?
