The Tardis - Late Monday evening... [locked to
prof_cregg and
After what had gone down at Mr. Phale's shop, Shane found herself walking and staring at her feet and not really knowing or caring where she was. Her sneakers scuffed along pavement until they found grass and she was in the park. Hearing a duck let out an indignant quack, she did an immediate about-face and started walking in the opposite direction as she spotted Crowley sitting on the bench, terrorizing the ducks.
He was the last person... demon... guy thing... whatever... she wanted to speak to right now. But she still needed somewhere to go.
The TARDIS was hidden in the shadows of the trees, but it was a beacon of light unto itself. Stepping up to the door, she knocked once, stuffing her hands into her pockets and resisting the urge to hammer frantically on the door.

interdimensional cabletv. What's the matter, hon? You look totally shaken.[She takes her by the hand and leads her in to the couch. She mutes the tv and flips on the side table lamp]

"Tara kissed me," she says in a hushed voice.

She trails off and reaches up, rubbing at her eyes. "I guess I must have walked in on something. Mr. Phale was there... with Crowley and... I told them I'd leave if I was bothering them." Lowering her hand, she licks her lips, eyes still fixed on the carpet. "Tara... came and stood next to me and... I don't know what happened... I just -- I don't... I don't know. All I knew was that I wanted to kiss her and she was kissing me and I didn't want her to stop."

"I just... I was talking with Geoff today," she says, her voice hoarse in her throat. "I told him about -- about Tara ... not who it was, but just that somebody I knew had... y'know feelings... for me. He asked me if it made any difference... knowing how Tara felt. If it made me feel any different about her. I t -- I told him ... 'I'm in love with Kate, I'd never do -- anything to hurt her' ..."

I get that, baby. More than you know. It's nice when people like you. It makes you feel...special. But there are responsibilities that come with commitment. I'm going out on a limb and guessing you and Kate don't have an open relationship.
But if she kissed you, hon, you didn't do anyting to hurt her. Even if you liked it. You didn't go out looking for it. Did you? Tell me you didn't go looking for Tara

Shaking her head, her eyes remain fixed on the carpet. "I didn't know Tara was there. I didn't even know she knew them," she murmurs. "Not until I walked in the shop and found her there. I guess she was... talking with them... something..."

Baby, go to the bathroom and get cleaned up and changed. I'll get the bed ready, then we can talk til you fall asleep, ok?

There are just entirely too many thoughts rattling around inside her skull that she's just too tired to think about right now. So she focuses on the simplest things. The immediate things. Finding the bathroom. Opening the door. Going in and closing it behind her. Undressing and changing into the t-shirt CJ has loaned her.
Folding her clothes and gathering them up in her arms along with her sneakers and socks, she pads back into the bedroom, placing her neatly folded and stacked belongings on a chair.

[She has turned the bed down and fluffed the pillows. Her own jeans are off, and
Adam'sher shirt hangs halfway down her thighs]Climb in, sweetie. I'll tuck you in and Ten will get us some tea. Ok?

I don't wanna talk anymore... I don't want things to be different in the morning... I just want things to be okay...I just want everything to be okay...
