Red is Open Today!

Downstairs early, after a full nights sleep, Red has the backroom ready for his first appointment of the day.

The sign says Open and he is sitting behind the counter, moutstick in mouth, flipping through a catalog.

Tex entered the shop right on time for her appointment. For once she's out of armour, but even that didn't change that she's taller than most humans.

"Hey, Red." She said as she approached the counter.

Quickling looking over the consent form, she signed it. "Are you actually telling me some people sue you when they don't like it?" She asked as she pushed the form back towards him and folded up the other sheet.

Tex followed behind him, looking around the backroom curiously. "I suppose I'm just lucky I'm in a business where the parents rarely are an issue," she said as she started taking off her coat.

Tex sneered as she sat down like Red told her. "If you're capable of getting drunk, you should be able to deal with the consequences too."

She pulled off her shirt and used it to pillow her head. "I don't think my hair would get in the way." It was just shoulder length, so it probably wouldn't go down far enough to obstruct Red's work. It was however possible that if her hair fell forward just right, he might be able to see the interface at the base of her skull where she connected with her armour.

If it did hurt, there was only a slight tensing of her muscles that gave it away but nothing more. "Can I ask how you decided to do this as a job?" Tex asked after a while. It had struck her as strange that someone with fur would specialise into body art like this.

Tex nodded and smiled. "Good enough for me. How about your marks? Are they permanent?"

"Branding," Tex murmured with a frown and wriggled slightly as Red wasn't looking. "I think I'll stick to a needle."

"I got those without having to pay for it," Tex says as she pulls her shirt back on, careful for the bandages. She's a bit stiff as she stands up. "I will. I assume I'll have to be out of armour for a while?"

"A week," she can't remember the last time she's been out of her armour for longer than a few hours. "That will be a challenge."

HENNA

Duce walks in after classes, looking very grey. Noticing Red's working on the tall lady's back, she quietly goes about setting up her henna. When the henna's prepped and the bits laid out, she sinks to the floor in a corner and cuddles the puppies, who came downstairs at the sound of her henna kit rattling about. Castor and Pollux, seeming to sense her tired state, are rather subdued .. for puppies. This basically means they're not racing back and forth across the area behind the counter too often.

Tex nods at Duce as she follows Red out of the backroom.

Tex wasn't sure if she believed that, but she didn't remark on it. Reaching into the pocket of her coat, she took out the money and laid it on the counter. "I'll wait to put it on until you've checked it again."

"Thanks, I'll do that. I'll see you in a week," she said as she turned to leave.
