Corner of Revello and Bergen, Tuesday

A large delivery truck pulls up in from of a slightly weather-beaten, rather eccentricly designed old house. As it stops, a young man comes bounding excitedly out of the front door and down the porch stairs, shouting.

"Truck's here! Hey, Rodney! The truck with your equipment's here!"

Rodney comes out, running a hand through his messy hair. It doesn't make anything neater.

"Really? The truck's here? What a surprise, I never would have guessed from anything as obvious as the fact that it's sitting in front of the house!"

With a roll of his eyes, he hurries down the steps and looks over the removalists as they open up the back of the truck. "Be careful with that equipment," he warns. "It's fragile calibrating material!"

Jonas picks up a box and heads back into the house with it. "Should we just put it all in one room and then figure out where it goes?"

Rodney frowns. "No, we've got the boxes labelled, they should go into the appropriate rooms.

"Hey, you! Moving people! The boxes have labels on them - if it's bedrooms, it goes upstairs. The others should be obvious. If it doesn't have a label then put it on the porch."

In an undertone to Jonas, he adds, "We don't want to be lugging everything everywhere ourselves. This way, we have the moving people do it!"

"I thought you were worried about the moving people breaking things." Jonas checks the label on his box and starts for the kitchen.

"Yes, well, I'm more worried about me spraining things! All that carrying up and down stairs isn't good for my back! This is their job. They can do it."

Upstairs

Upstairs are a few bedrooms and a bathroom with a carpeted floor.

[Numerous boxes of varying sizes are piled haphazardly along the walls of the upstairs hallway, and in the first bedroom on the right.]

Arriving upstairs, Jonas finds that the movers did at least half their job, anyway. He picks boxes at random and starts unpacking. Occasionally, he finds a mislabeled box, which he places at the top of the stairs to be relocated later. He determinedly does not go back downstairs to the basement.

Downstairs

The first floor has a kitchen, dining room, living space and enclosed porch.

"Sheppard?" Hauls open the front door. It sticks and jerks backwards. "Where else would I be?"

You know this just begs the question... if you've been here since Friday and your stuff is just arriving now... what the hell have you been doing for the past *counts on fingers* 5 days?

Basement

Very solid. Might be a hurricane shelter if Fandom town had hurricanes. With definitely possibly leaky pipes.

[ooc: what happens in the basement...stays in the basement. Oh, and the pipes don't actually leak. It's just going to be one more thing for Rodney to grump about.]

"Do you expect me and my house-mate to carry all that stuff down there? I don't think so! Do your job!"

Rodney stomps off.

[The FandomTown Moving Company, Inc. takes attitude from no man. After Rodney stomps off, they stack the boxes labeled 'Baement' directly in front of the basement door.]

We're going to get people in to help unpack [slave labour - mwaaaah!] probably the Refugees and anyone who brings a keg [frat house much?]. But can you wait for a bit, muns are trying to get things sorted out.

Shall drop a note on the OOC when we're ready to rumble!

Be assured that no matter how you unpack and put away anything...Rodney is sure to complain of it later.

*Shep comes back up from the basement and grabs another box from the truck. This one seems to have airholes and something can clearly be heard scurrying in it.*

Then he comes out, spots the box and frowns. "That's not mine."

*Carefully opens the top of the box to see three white lab mice scurrying about in their shredded newspaper.*

Um, Rodney... I think Carson sent a housewarming present.
