The Haven - OPEN

Quistis straightened a stack of books, looking slightly downcast. She sighed softly to herself, trying not to let her thoughts linger on how quiet the store has been lately.

There had been a lull in the afternoon crowd, and Ben decides to slip off to the new bookstore. He looks around for a bit, then finally picks up copies of Japanese Death Poems (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0804831793/qid=1130894512/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/102-9826307-0584949?v=glance&s=books&n=507846) and Dewdrops on a Lotus Leaf (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1590301080/qid=1130894512/sr=8-10/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i8_xgl14/102-9826307-0584949?v=glance&s=books&n=507846) and puts them on the counter.

"Japanese Death Poems?" Quistis's blue eyes lighten somewhat. "I've read that. It's an excellent collection," she commented lightly, as she rang the books up. "You like haiku?"

"I do. It's a fantastic form for expression." He smiles lightly. "Not that I'm any good at writing it, mind you, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate someone else's talent."
