Late Tuesday at the Park

Tonight he's in a much better mood. He makes quacking noises at the ducks, tossing tasty nibbles to them gently. His cigarette burns slowly, the smoke curling lazily into the night sky.

One duck in particular comes over to catch the food Crowley tosses.

The duck catches the piece of scone and flips its tail feathers.

The duck catches the tidbit and preens as if it understands Crowley's words.

The duck catches the piece but seems unhappy that it is so small.

The duck obligingly walks closer.

The duck walks closer, but stops just out of reach. It flips its tail feathers in irritation.

Another duck finally notices that there is food to be had and comes over to join the first. The first one snaps at it before catching the next tidbit.

The first duck apparently doesn't want to share. After snapping up the first piece, it shoulders its way in front of the other one. It catches the second piece and then turns and bites the other duck's head off.

Content not to have to share anymore, the first duck catches the scone and preens again.

The duck snaps it up and flips its tail feathers again.

The duck catches the tartlet and tilts its head in concentration as it chews. After it swallows, it opens its mouth again and a small puff of smoke comes out.

The duck steps forward to catch the tartlet, putting itself within Crowley's reach. It concentrates some more. This time, it produces a tiny flame and a bigger ball of smoke when it opens its mouth.

The duck jumps up onto the bench, flips its tail feathers and preens some more.

The duck sits down and allows itself to be petted. It eventually falls asleep sitting next to Crowley.

[[and I thought those ducks I footnoted in the Ethics debate were scary]]

((*snicker* I knew some one was going to be NPC-ing the ducks with more regularity))
