Wonka Sweets Shop - OPEN

Tonks wasn't brooding anymore, but rather ~~physically and~~ emotionally throwing herself into everything. Her hair was back to the flamboyant pink spikes. She paused in front of Wonka's to adjust the strap of the satchel slung over her shoulder, and glanced at the window. "God, he's fast." She observed.

She knew that the Halloween town had been retired, to a glass case behind the counter, but she hadn't expected it to be replaced so fast. The help wanted sign was still there, but the window was decorated for Thanksgiving. There were candies shaped like turkeys, feathers and all, each as big as a closed fist, surrounding a chocolate Mayflower in a spun-sugar bottle.

Tonks wore a delighted grin as she pulled her key out of the pocket of her patched jeans and unlocked the door. After making cocoa for any customers, she went to stand behind the counter.

Maia comes in happily "Hey Tonks" she said grabbing some cocoa "How are you today?"

"Pretty good," Tonks replied easily. "Better than I was, at least."

Maia grinned "That is wonderful to hear. I like your hair by the way, very nice. I was worried about you the other day and wanted to stop in and check on you."

Tonks blushed faintly, tugging on her shirt sleeve. "I was that bad, huh?" She shook her head, as if to clear it. "It was just a rough week, you know?"

Maia smiled. "Its ok Tonks. Everyone has them. So your better now though, your hair looks awesome, when did you have it done?"

Tonks paused for a moment, "Uh...I did it this morning." Her mouth twitches, as if she's trying not to grin. "You've really never seen it like this?"

Maia looked at her for a moment, "No I don't think I have actually. It looks nice. Did you go to a salon to have it done?" Maia cannot recall any hair salons in Fandom Town.

"Nah," Tonks shook her head, "I did it myself."

Maia grins "Can you do it to mine? Not the whole thing just some streaks or something."

"Um...I guess I could..." Tonks suddenly looked unsure. "I've always just...been able to do mine. But I'm sure I could figure it out."

"How do you do yours?" Maia said slightly confused.

Tonks sighed, as if explaining her magic is something she was quickly getting used to. "Got a mirror?" She asked, nodding to Maia's purse.

She was curious and when she tried to look ahead Tonks was cloudy so she resigned herself to being shown instead. Maia nodded and pulled the mirror out and handed it to Tonks.

Tonks flipped open the small compact. "Pick a length and color." She challenged.

Maia looked at her for a second confused. "Um, black and past your knees."

Tonks frowned, "Like I did at the club?" She suggested, frowning slightly into the mirror. Ebony color spread from the roots to the ends, which she could feel extending down her back to rest at her ankles. "Well?" She asked, grinning.

Maia stood in total shock "You-you can change yourself. Bu-but you've not got your wand out." Maia stares. "Is that why you were fuzzy just now in my head?" Maia said the last statement more to herself then to Tonks.

"It could be," she suggested, screwing up her face again until her appearance had resumed what it was. "I wouldn't know," she admitted.

Maia looks up and blushes realizing that Tonks heard her. "I-how do you do that without a wand?"

"I was born with it," she said, folding her arms, though she was obviously awkward with having to explain her status as a metamorphmagus.

"Oh." Maia smiled understanding. "Thats cool that you can do that. I wasn't.. well I wasn't born then way but I've been this way for a long time." Maia bite her lip for a moment. "Do other people know you can do that? I won't tell anyone." Maia smiled at her.

Tonks smiled back, "A lot of people know. I look a little bit different every day, unless I'm resting."

Maia glances at her watch. "I need to go, I have to get back before curfew. I like what you do that is really neat. I'll see you around. I am glad your feeling better today." Maia was curious as to how Tonks looked resting but she would ask at another time, she had to cut through the park to get back to school on time.

Paige walks in smiling "hey Tonks,have you got the bunny?"

"Of course," the witch chirped, pulling the bunny out from behind the counter. "And didn't I promise you vampire books awhile back?"

Paige nods looking at the rabbit "oh yeah right, I totally forgot. Thanks"

Tonks grinned, following Paige's gaze. "He won't start running until you take the blue ribbon off." She said by way of explaination.

[OOC - I have to go for about an hour, sorry.]

Paige grins "cool, so if I put it back on he'll stop right?"

"Pretty much." Tonks responded, pulling off the length of powder blue with a flourish.

"That's if we can catch it right?" she asks luaghing a little

Wonka hears Tonks arriving and hurries into the shop(pe), looking unusually anxious. He motions to the Thanksgiving Display. "Is this correct, do you think? Is it the right thing for the American holiday?"

"I hope so," she shrugged slightly, "I'm from England, so I wouldn't know, really. I've never celebrated Thanksgiving before."
