Early Morning: Jogging trail

The minute the five a.m. curfew was lifted this morning Maia was up and out the door before 5:05.

She needed to breathe, be away, be able to think about everything that had happened in the last few days, if things that she once held to be important to her were still important, friendships and relationships.

Maia zipped up her jacket and kicked pine cones out of her way as she walked, she would start jogging in a little while, right now she was just enjoying the cold air.

6:10am

Tara stumbles across Maia's path, sodden skirts stained with a brown fluid. A dark, purpled bruise is on her neck, and there are red scratches on her face, one deep enough to draw blood.

She does not see Maia, crossing the path and continuing on into the woods.

[ooc: For reference of those reading this: Tara's *only* interactions while she's like this will be with prior player consent.]

"Run, rabbit," Tara pants, not seeing the trees that catch at her clothing, tearing herself away and ripping her skirt in the process. "Run run run."

Seeing Maia, Tara's panic grows worse - a thing that should not have been possible.

Keening wordlessly, she tries to run, stumbling on the long strip that now hangs from her skirt, falling face down onto the pine needles.

Tara scrambles away from Maia, whimpering.

"Don't touch me!" she whispers, voice hoarse from running. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry..."
