Allison is in her kitchen, the sign says open, she's currently on the phone, with Joe who is begging her to come home. She will speak to anyone who wants to come in today though

Ivanova hesitates before entering the building, actually turning and walking past it twice before buckling down and walking in. Social stigmas and fear of persecution are hard things to get over, but it was getting too insistent. She halts when she sees the woman on the phone and almost turns to flee with a hurried, "Sorry to disturb you . . ."

Allison covers the phone. "It's fine, you can have a seat if you'd like." she uncovers the phone. "Joe, I'm gonna have to call you back. I love you too. Bye." Allison says and hangs up and then gives the woman her full attention. "Sorry about that."

"Ah, no problem," Ivanova replies. Now she was trapped. She sat down cautiously, perched on the edge of the chair. "I, um, heard that you are, ah . . . psychic?" She looks almost terrified, glancing around as if the walls have ears.

Ivanova sighs and runs a hand through her hair. "This is so hard . . ." she looks at the other woman with a wobbly grin. "You see, where I come from, psychics and telepaths and telekinetics are a big no-no. I know I'm in Fandom, but I still can't help but feel that the PsiCorps is going to swoop in on us any second." She bites her lips, unsure of what to say next.

Allison nods. "That must be scary to live with that fear." she says. "I don't know that we...have to worry much about that though, it seems relatively okay here."

Ivanova takes a deep breath and blurts it out. "My mother was a telepath. She was killed for it. And I . . . think I am too. I mean, before the only person I could, well, reach, was her, but since I came to Fandom, my head - my mind - has been . . . itching." She jumps up and starts pacing, jittery.

Allison nods. "Would you like some tea?" she asks her, knowing she should relax. "It sounds like you may be a telepath."

"Yes, please," she says to the tea, more out of politeness than anything. "Sounds like?" she snorts. "Oh god, I hope not. Still, when the zombies . . . it's like I felt them coming, or something. It's happened a few times, but I've been supressing that part of myself my whole life."

"Zombies?" Allison had missed that. She makes her a tea and gives it to her.

She waves a hand vaguely as she takes the tea. "We had a little zombie infestation about a month ago." She takes a calming sip. "I'm just . . . I don't know what to do. My whole life I've been trying to keep the PsiCorps off my back and now I think I might actually have a reason to." She smiles wryly. "It's just a bit scary, y'know?"

"I know. Sometimes I wonder what people will think about me too..." Allison tells her

"A word of advice," Ivanova says with a lopsided grin. "Never, ever go to Babylon 5." She shrugs. "Actually, it wouldn't be so bad now that . . . well, I won't bore you with politics. But for a while it was rough for anyone with any kind of mental powers."

Allison nods. "I'll keep that in mind anyway, sorry for what you walked in on earlier."

She looks embarrassed. "It's no problem, really. Sorry to have disturbed you. I just needed to talk to someone friendly. Problems at home? If you don't mind me asking."

"I...my husband and I are getting divorced. I actually live here, and work from home." Allison says.

Ivanova looks uncomfortable. "Oh, I'm so sorry. If there's anything you need, I live in town. In the big smooth ship, actually. Kinda hard to miss." She glanced at the link stuck to the back of her hand. "I should get going. Thanks for the tea."

Ivanova waves a good bye as she hurries out and heads towards the school to make her classes.
