Red Is Open
Grumbling, Red headed downstairs to open his shop. The cubs wisely picked up on his throbbing headache pain and decided to find something upstairs to occupy their time.
He opened the shop and hopped up on to the stool behind the counter. Sitting hunched over with a crease between his eyebrows, he stared at nothing and hoped the damn headache would just. go. away.

"Is everything okay?" She asked. She looked a bit tired, but there was something else even more noticeably different about her: her long hair was gone, cropped so that it barely covered her ears.

Feeling a rather persistent tapping on her foot, she looked down to find Pollux standing there, looking up at her worriedly. Bending down, she scooped him up into her arms. "Hey, kid," she murmured fondly. "What's going on?"
Pollux looked at Red for a few long beats and then back over at her. "Owie," he said in a very soft whisper as he reached up a paw and patted at her head, with that same troubled look.
"Yeah, I know, he told me," Shane said, grinning in spite of herself. She still couldn't believe that Pollux had started talking.

"Morning, Boss," he calls, nodding politely to the young woman Red is talking to while he blows the steam away from the top of his cup. "What time is the piercing appointment set for today?
Setting the cup on the counter as he walks behind it, he heads to the sink and spends a few minutes scrubbing his hands thoroughly with the antiseptic soap.

He grinned sheepishly at Shane. "Shane, meet my new inker, Aaron. Aaron, this is a very good friend of mine, Shane."

He smiles at Pollux and addresses the puppy, "Hey big guy. Where's your brother?" and seems to be asking both Red and Pollux, "Has Duce been in yet this morning? She kidnap the other pup already?"
Noticing Red's pained expression, he knits his brows, "You ok? You look trashed, just a little."

He nosed at the skateboard. "It's nice. Can you do all that flippy stuff I see on TV?"

"Hi. Um, hi." He pulls a folded page ripped from a catalog out of his pocket, unfolds it, and holds it out. "Do you have something like this (http://www.zulumoon.com/details.asp?ProductCode=NK-699)? It's . . . I think it'd be perfect for my girlfriend."

"Oh, wow. Might have to come here more often."

Trotting around to the back, he opened the case and pulled out a tray that held a piece almost exactly like what he was looking for. The difference was in the type of chain and number of silver beads held in a group and there were no small beads at the top or bottom of the onyx setting. "Will this do?"

Also, she can't help wondering if the mayor has alternate office hours she should have gone to instead.
She is carrying a book on local property law, as well as her clipboard and a stack of forms, and out of respect for the mayor is not
