The Bank is Open

After officially ~~arguing about~~ giving the harpy her name, Salmoneus comes out on the porch of the bank to open it. Taking down the sign that announces the contest, he puts a different one up. This one says:

Thank you to everyone who entered the "Name the Harpy Contest"! The Harpy's new name is ~~Fluffy~~Anassa, and the winner is ~~PsychoWarriorQueen~~ Callisto, a student at Fandom High! Congratulations Callisto, and thanks again to all who entered!

He glares at the sign and mutters, "Not calling her Fluffy," under his breath before going back inside.

[ooc: I know, I know, I've been a very bad mun and didn't get the bank open, but work has been hell this week.]

Chewbacca comes in with Han in tow. He presents the signature cards to Salmoneus, and shoves Han toward the counter.

"Sir?" Han says. "Chewbacca says we need to convert some dollars to Imperial Credits. About a thousand dollars." Han lays out 10 $100 bills. "We're traveling for that big holiday."

Taking the signature cards, Salmoneus smiles at Han. "Nice to see you, welcome back. Ah, so this is your guardian." He turns his attention to the ~~carpet~~Wookiee. "Wonderful to see you again, Chewbacca. So, you need some cash, eh? Imperial Credits. Hang on just a moment and I'll see what's in the vault."

He goes through the door into the vault room. There's a high-pitched whine, then his muffled voice. As he comes back out, he looks behind him. "No. I'm not calling you Fluffy." Then he turns back to his customers. "Remember, the exchange rate is 80 to 1. Are you sure you're going to need 80,000 credits, Chewbacca?"

Han translates.

"We're needing some serious durasteel and tools. A couple of jerks blew a hole in my ship and we want her fixed. And everything's more expensive on the rim."

The older man stared for a moment, then nodded his head, hoping he looked like he understood what the young man just said.

"Of course. I completely understood." He really didn't have a clue.

Holding several credit sticks in his hands, Salmoneus carefully entered the correct amounts using the same machine he'd used a few days earlier for Aayla. He had to remember to adjust it for Imperial Credits rather than Old Republic credits.

"All right, 80,000 credits. There's 8 credit sticks," he handed them over, "with 10,000 on each stick." As he gave them over to Chewbacca, the banker used one hand to pick up the ten hundred dollar bills. "Is there anything else I can do for you, Chewbacca?"

Han translates the negation. "Nothing else, thanks. You just made a major purchase much easier."

He leaves with the wookiee
