Crossing the park - just after lunch time

This is Daniel's third trip across the park, to and from the NPC DIY Store.

This time he's actually carrying paint, so hopefully it'll be his last.

He'd intended to start earlier, but, hmmm coffee. And coffee won over everything. Apart from Janet.

And then he decided that lunch was a good thing before he started, so here he was.

He looked down at the paint. He'd done what Sam had said and checked that they were the same batch number, so that was good.

But was he really sure of the color?

Lana waved to Professor Jackson as she headed towards the beach.

"Are you all right, Dr, Jackson? You're looking a little confuesd there." Lana tries not to laugh at the expression on his face.

"It's a nice color," Lana replies, "What is it for?"

[identity profile] lovelylana.livejournal.com 2005-11-12 05:31 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, it's a nice warm color. It'll probably make the room look cozy." She smiled at him. "What motivated you to repaint?"

Lana gives him an encouraging smile, "Everything being off-white can be a little institutional. Color always helps brighten a place up. And yeah, it's always better to paint *before* the new furniture comes in. Don't want to be dripping paint on it before you've had a chance to use it."

[identity profile] lovelylana.livejournal.com 2005-11-12 05:45 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, you might not want it to be exactly the same color as the walls, but a complementing color would be good. And another eye and opinion is always good. All the colors and options can get pretty overwhelming."

Lana laughs, "Oh, I'm sure she'll appreciate the groveling and give you a hand."

That stupid duck had been quacking the whole night. She'd had enough of it. Moving to the pond, Tex picked up a rock and was about to throw it at the bratty duck in the middle of the water.

[identity profile] freelancerchick.livejournal.com 2005-11-12 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Tex turns and looks at Daniel. She laughs. "What? You going to stop me, four eyes?"

[identity profile] freelancerchick.livejournal.com 2005-11-12 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Tex threw the rock up and caught it back in her hand. "Then what is?"

[identity profile] freelancerchick.livejournal.com 2005-11-12 06:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Tex slowly turns to face Daniel completely while she closes her fist around the stone. "Do I look like the talking type to you?" When she opens her hand, rubble falls to the ground.

[identity profile] freelancerchick.livejournal.com 2005-11-12 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
"So maybe you should try talking to the duck?" It's really not a question.

"That it better get his feathery ass over here so I can poisson it."
