CARITAS--OPEN
Jarod unlocked the door for the patrons, giving Caritas a final once-over as he did so. It looked ready. The band seemed to be in the same number of pieces as they were the last time he saw them. He hoped he was dressed appropriately--the movie had been a little iffy on that part. Besides, on his currently limited budget, the black jeans and untucked black, collared, button-front shirt would have to do.
During his downtime, he practiced twirling liquor bottles and bar glasses a la Cocktail.

Sing With the Band
The Lounge
The Bar
Re: The Bar
"Keen," Tick says.
Re: The Bar
He looks the blue, antennaed man over and decides he's old enough to be served alcohol. "What can I get for you this evening, sir?"

He then adds a bendy straw and a pink paper umbrella, because the man in front of him seems like a bendy straw and pink paper umbrella kind of guy. He can tell by the clothes--they're whimsical.
"I'm Jarod. It's nice to meet you."

He wipes off the bar and leans forward. After all, people are supposed to tell their bartenders everything.

Re: The Bar
Jarod pours himself a glass of Dr. Pepper and adds a bendy straw.

Re: The Bar
Tick sipped some more milk and continued playing with the umbrella. "It's wacky. Even students who aren't in the class seem to get a kick out of it. I don't even know how they find out what we're talking about. I keep checking the door and there's nobody out there that I can see..."
[OOC: I'm prepared to drop the name of a certain brunette that Jarod is very familiar with if you'd like. It might be worth a chuckle.]
Re: The Bar
Jarod sipped at his soda. "You must be quite the educator." He made a note to talk to The Tick if he ever had to do a simulation as a teacher. It always helped to have a live person's perspective.
[ooc: Thanks, but no. We're not doing the big unveil until two weeks from now (when Broots-mun is more available). If you can talk about her without mentioning her name, feel free.]
Re: The Bar
"Some of my fellow teachers have sent the Academic Pie that I'm serving back to the kitchen, but the students have their Forks of Inquiry poised and ready to strike!"
[OOC: I just left a window open if you wanted. Window is shut, the drapes are closed, the light has been turned off, and the old lady has gone to bed. I know to check first before I actually commit to that kind of stuff. :)]
Re: The Bar
He wished he could be holding one of the Forks of Inquiry, but someone had soldered his Silverware Drawer of Life shut before he even made it into kindergarten.

He still wasn't giving up his jellybeans, though.

Re: The Bar
"You know Injustice?" Tick stared at Jarod intensely. His antennae swivelled around as if they were seeking something. His stare softened into a sad glance. "I'm sorry to hear that, chum. It's something that nobody should deal with. At least you seem to come out of it okay!"
Re: The Bar
"No, no one should, should they?" He asked. "I was very lucky
very recently."Re: The Bar
"I'm glad to hear that, Jarod. I hope your time here is full of Justice and Freedom!"
Tick stood up and glanced at his now empty glass. "Err, could I keep the umbrella? I'm trying to get more whimsy into my life. I've needed it recently."
Re: The Bar
"I hope that your time is equally free of Injustice and Imprisonment."
Jarod handed him three more umbrellas--one in blue, one in green, and one in purple. "Enjoy your night, sir."
Re: The Bar
Tick picked up his four umbrellas and left the bar. He seemed to be deep in thought before he was even out of the building.
[OOC: Ooh! I already have plans for the umbrellas. Yet another little thing with which I can make people cry at a later date! Thank you!]

[ooc: Yay! Jarod aided and abetted The Tick!]
