Chaucer's, Monday

The door is open, the sign is out, and Geoff is sitting at his worktable making phone calls and trying to decipher the writing on a stack of stained parchments.


[OOC: There are several people he really needs to talk to. You know who you are, if you'd like to stop in. He'll be available until 6:00pm EST and after 8:00-ish.]

Paige walks into the shop looking worried, she almost bursts into tears when she sees the state of Geoff

"I-I got your message, are you okay Geoff?"

Geoff looks up as Paige enters, giving her a weak smile. "Thank you for coming by, Paige. Yes, I'm really fine. Can I offer you some coffee?"

Paige nods slowly "thank you I could use a drink," she tells him shaking slightly

After Paige?

Taking a deep breath, Sonia pushes open the door to Chaucer's and pokes her head inside. The shop is, for the most part, back in order, though she can still see the remnants of inkstains on the wood floors.

"Geoff? Hallo?"

"Sonia." Geoff stands and smiles at her, offering her a chair. "You don't know how glad I am to see that you're willing to come back in here. Would you like some coffee?"

Sonia smiles in turn, accepting the chair. She studies Geoff's face a moment; it looks a little tender, but he seems to be healing. She wasn't sure what to expect after what Paige had told her.

"Vhy shouldn't I want to come back here? Because of an argument?" Her tone and expression are light, but her eyes are serious. "I...know some things vere said- on both ends, even, and I do apologize for yelling at you like that."

She pauses at his offer- "Any tea, by chance? Coffee's fine, if not." Again, there is a moment of silence before she speaks, and now her voice is soft, low.

"Geoff, are you okay? I mean...vhat happened?"

Work had gone better after he'd returned from his lunch break. He'd done a couple piercings and a pretty little butterfly tattoo on a charming young lady, and then decided to call it a day.

He wasn't in the mood to go home, so he decided to take Sonia up on her invitation from lunch the other day and go check out Chaucer's. Pushing hesitantly through the door, he looks around to see if Sonia's working. "Hello?" he calls softly.

Sonia glances up from her worktable at the sound of someone entering the shop. She's already in a fairly good mood after her talk with Geoff; seeing Aaron, her face breaks into a large, warm smile.

"Aaron! Hallo- please, come in!" She stands and crosses the room towards the door.

"Ah...Geoff's around here somevhere, if you'd like to meet him. In the meantime, can I get you anything? Coffee?"

[ooc: no problem. If I idle suddenly, it means my headache won and I took an impromptu nap. Will be back on tonight though - have my alarm set for 9pm CST just in case.]

Relaxing a little as Sonia comes into view, Aaron smiles down at her, "Hi. I thought I'd take you up on your offer to come see some of your work. Sure, I'd love some coffee if you have some going, but don't go to any trouble on my account. How's the illumination coming along?"

Becky strides into Geoff's shop, holding a vase with a bouquet of slighty wilted white lilies. She stonily sets them on the counter.

"There. Now I owe you nothing."

She turns to go.

"Becky! Wait, please. I'd like to talk to you, if you're willing to just give me a few minutes."

Becky slowly turns back around, and crosses her arms across her chest.

"Are you sure you'd rather not just make an appointment, like you suggested?"

[The half-light of 5 PM that is coming in through Geoff's open door is blocked by a shadow.]

Busy, poet?

Geoff looks from his work and smiles at the shadow. "Not too busy for you, Ten."

There's parchement scattered across his worktable, most of them crumpled and stained. Geoff appears to be copying them onto fresh paper.

[He wanders in and perches on Sonia's desk, watching Geoff's hands.] Pish, you can be too busy to talk if you want. You certainly look busy.
