The Park, Monday Evening, by the lake
He should have gone to the clinic. Yes, he should have. If for no other reason tha to check on Jack.
Instead, he found himself in the park. The evening air was chilly, which stung his leg, and exaggerated the discomfort of every step.
He knew he should head back to campus before it got too late, especially with the curfew on the town, but he'd arranged to meet up with Wilson after an evening in own.
He sat on a bench by the lake, tugged a red lolly out of his pocket and stuck it in his mouth. He stretched his legs out, sighed, and watched the sun sink lower in the evening sky.
[OOC: Attempting to socialise House a bit more, outside of the clinic. Feel free to notice/talk to him. He may be grumpy at first, but he generally warms up to most people]

"Doctor" she said with a slight wave. She noticed his lollipop and smiled, she'd not had one in ages

"Miss Matthews." He nodded at her. "Did you ever find...Who was it you were looking for?"

"how are you this evening?" she asks unwrapping the lolly and sucking it

She pauses biting her lip "so how are you finding here? It's kinda...weird really isn't it? What with the talking cats and fourteenth century poets!"

"I'm not entirely sure what to think of this place. I imagine I'd be locked in a nut house if I went home to Jersey and started talking about the things I've seen, and treated here."

He wasn't sure if House would have waited this late or gone on ahead, part of him concerned about the older man being out in this chill but the time had gotten away from Wilson.
"House?!"
no subject
Waiting seemed easier than geting up and seeking Wilson out. And he didn't want to interrupt anything, it was pretty clear Wilson's conversations ith Aziraphale and Crowley were pretty intense. So he'd taken his Vicodin, and he'd waited.
He looked up when Wilson called his name. "Over here."
no subject
"Hey there, you. You're not feeding the ducks Vicodin are you?"
no subject
That turned serious after a beat. "How are you, Love?" He didn't often use terms of endearment, and certainly not in public.
no subject
"I...I've got a couple of things to follow-up on but, I'm good now." Unspoken was the fact that he was good now, because he was with House.
Reaching an arm around the older man from behind, Wilson hugged him before he straightened.
"But, if you're done drugging ducks, we're getting close to curfew. You ready to head back?"
no subject
House nuzzled a little closer to the face pressed to his neck, and raised a hand up to Wilson's cheek. A subtle, gentle gesture meant to comfor and reaffirm.
"Let's get you home, Slick." House stood. He slid his left arm casually around Wilson, keeping it loose in case he needed to readjust for the sake of his balance. "And hope the little drug crazed demons don't follow us back to campus."
no subject
"You'll have made a whole flock of little feathered drug addicted friends. Mallard macker."
Wilson grinned up at his lover and then comfortably rested his head on House's shoulders as they walked back towards the school and their little apartment.

Toward the end of the walk, he was definitely feeling the burden of his leg. He'd rarely actually physically leaned on Wilson, allowing the younger man to effectively carry his weight, but this was one of those times he needed the added support and guidance.
no subject
Wilson fell silent then, listening to House tell him about his evening, smiling at little at the two tales and very gradually, he took on more and more of House's weight as the bad leg began to get the better of his lover. It was a subtle thing, done in a slow, step by step manner that allowed both men to pretend it wasn't happening.

He straightened, and leaned against the wall while Wilson fished his keys out of a pocket. He limped inside and straight through to the bedroom. He made quick work of the bathroom necessities before stripping down to his boxers and climbing into the bed.
