After work, Aaron decided to stop by the local burger joint for a quick meal. He walked inside, gaze trailing over the available seats until eventually he chooses a booth near the window. Shaking the excess water droplets from his hair and pushing it out of his eyes, he removed his jacket and tossed it onto the seat before sliding into the booth.
Picking up a menu, he tried to decide what he was hungry for.
Eyes gleaming with mirth, he says gravely, "Hi, Quinn. I'm Aaron Boone. I'll be your customer person today. Could I please have the philly cheesestake burger with a side of crisscut fries and a Coke, hold the ice?"
Quinn writes this all down on her notepad, deciding she really should learn the shorthand stuff they use, but then she might start snapping gum and telling people to kiss her grits, so she'll just do it this way, thank you.
"And how do you want the burger cooked?" she asks, actually remembering to ask.
Shrugging a shoulder, Aaron answers, "Anything between raw and burned is fine by me. I hear raw meat causes all sorts of gastrointestinal unhappiness, and burned is just too hard to chew. Thanks."
Aaron manages not to smirk as Quinn proclaims her desire not to think about that mental image. Taking the glass in one hand, he nods his thanks to her, "Perfect."
"Think I'm good for now, thanks," Aaron says. He watches out the window, tracking the people as they pass, trying to see if there's anyone he recognises out on such a miserable night.
Quinn heads off to the kitchen, taking time to answer a call on her cell phone while she's waiting. She's quiet about it, though, and hangs up as soon as the order's up. Just like a good worker.
She puts the plate on the table and asks, "I got it right, right?"
Making a show of checking over his burger, Aaron says quietly, "Bun.. check. Meat.. check. Unburned meat, even, so good on ya. Peppers.. check. Onions.. check. Cheese.. check. Fries.. check. Yup. Looks like we're a go for liftoff, here. Thanks."

A moment later, she returns with the Coke, no ice. "Tah dah."
