Red's Open

Red opened his shop, taking the time to pick up the cub toys from the floor and putting them behind the counter. He looked at the mess that was beneath the counter and sighed heavily. That needed to be straightened and he couldn't put it off any longer.

Sitting down in the floor, he began the task of methodically putting things in order again.

Anyone peeking in might catch a flash of his tail tip on occasion and the sporadic appearance of cubs around the end of the counter as they, in turns, try to 'help' daddy and get bored with the nongame of organizing.

"Mornin', Red," Aaron said as he came into the shop. He looked at what Red was doing and grimaced. He went about setting up the ink stations and tried to keep out of Red's way.

Duce actually made it into work today. Her face was set thoughtfully, as though mulling over quite a lot. Spotting what Red was doing, she immediately went to entertain the cubs and keep them out of his fur.

Lorne blows into the room like the wind talking on his cell phone.

"Damn it Tino! When I say fresh limes, I mean fresh limes! Whoever brought in those *things* you call citrus should be tied up and forced to listen to the Ethel Merman Disco Album. Go to the Emporium and- never mind. I'll do it myself."

Lorne snaps the phone shut and gives Red a winning smile.

"Mayor McPooch! Where've you been? I've got a barstool with your name on it and yet no visits yet. You simply must come by this evening sometime."

"Hello, Lorne," Red said, popping up from behind the counter. "I promise, coming by to see your new place is next on my list to do. I'm intrigued by this concept of karaoke."

Laughing, Red nodded, his tail swishing good naturedly behind him. "I'll definitely drop by."

"CJ?" Red leapt up from behind the counter again. "Yes, of course that's fine. I've told the Works people they are to report to you so if anyone slacks, feel free to kick them."
