First Annual Fandom Town Harvest Festival

A Rennaisance Faire

Overnight, tents have been set up thoughout the park. The entrance to the Festival is a large archway that leads you to a costume room. You must be in costume to enter. Period isn't important, and the basic costumes are Ladies in Waiting, Lords, Maids, and Cavaliers. If you'd prefer something else, dig for it...it's probably there.

A short row of small tents is set up for merchants. If you'd like to sell something, claim one, but if you claim it, it must be manned, not NPC'd.

Keep our town clean! Use the garbage cans.Mind the Belthazor shaped crater.

In the center of the park is a huge tent. In front of it is an arena with rows of swords and armor. There will be a tourney, and it is live steel. You are responsible for planning duels if you choose to do so.

Inside the tent are long tables. Snacks and drink are availible all day. The formal banquet will be served formally at dusk.

At the end of the tent is a dance floor. To the side is an area for the minstrels.

Several places throughout the festival are thrones. CJ welcomes you to her birthday party as Queen and Hostess. Enjoy yourselves!

[As of 9est/6pst Real Time, CJ is no longer at the Festival. She may return.]

Wonka hauls a huge bag of sweets over to a stall and starts setting up shop before the crowd gets here.

Red drags a wagon filled with a few boxes and two cubs perched on top. At the table he pulls out a blanket and with 'help' from Castor and Pollux, puts out some of his more unusual pieces of jewelry.

Kawalsky had been looking forward to the festival. He came out of the costume tent dressed as a court jester, complete with goofy purple and black jester hat.

Rodney finds one of those boofy hats with a plume stuck in the brim. He supposes it's a minstrel's hat, or maybe one of those merchant-type hats.

Either way, it'll do him, and he crams it on his head.

Tarot readings

Tara sets up her booth, laying out her deck of tarot cards over a dark cloth of purple velvet. She's still drained from the previous night, but readings are simple, and she promised CJ.

[ooc: and if you want a reading, it will be an actual tarot reading, not made up. So I can't control what it says...]

Charlie's been walking around, idly poking at things. He spots someone he recognizes and brightens, walking over to her. "Hello."

"Charlie, right?" Tara grins. "The math teacher? Nice hat!"

In a break between readings, Tara wanders over to Red's stall. "Hey there," she smiles at Red, kneeling down in the hopes that one of the cubs might consent to some attention.

"That's me." Charlie nods and grin. "Thank you. You're wearing a very nice dress," he compliments. He looks down at the cards. "What's this?"

"Tarot," Tara answers, holding out the deck (http://www.stevee.com/pages/t.fs.html) for him to leaf through the cards. "It's... well, it's a clarification device. Divination, too, but to a limited degree."

The cubs, always up for attention if it's directed at them, vie for first pet rights with Tara, thankfully abandoning helping their father. Red nodded to her. "Good Morning, Tara. How are you today?"
