Monday Afternoon/Evening
The doctor has come and gone. The I.V. is gone with him and gone with that the good drugs. The pills he's been given instead help some, but aren't nearly as good. The stitches have started itching a little and now that he isn't sleeping 23 hours a day, he's getting restless and discovering just how much he took having a left hand for granted. He's watched t.v. for a while, listened to music for a while and poked at some websites he hasn't had time to keep up on, but now he's bored. P.T. can't start until after the stitches come out of the skin a few days from now, which he's completely okay with because he's been warned that P.T. is gonna hurt like a sonofabitch.
His email is on, hopefully someone will either stop by to visit or send him an email. Given thelack of skill at one handed typing, he can kill a good three hours answering a simple question.

Visit
Re: Visit
"Hey, Shep. How are you doing?" She peeks around the corner of the door, then comes in shutting the door behind her.
Re: Visit
*peers at the bag*
Whatcha got there?
Re: Visit
She pulls his tray over and takes out several containers. "Deb's best. Lasagna, salad, garlic bread... And I even remembered utensils. How about that!"
Re: Visit
As for detention... I just got an email from Paige, she's pretty sure she's gonna get hauled in too. *frowns deeply* I don't want you guys getting in trouble for this. It's not worth a weekend in detention. Seriously, it's not. If I can say anything to the dean on your behalf, tell me and I will. I seriously don't want you guys having your long weekend ruined because I got stupid with a big knife.
Anyway, this food looks great, thanks. How much do I owe Deb? Or you or... whoever? And don't you dare try to cover this. You still haven't told me what I owe for the dress I bled all over.
Re: Visit
And I'm hoping since we haven't heard from the Dean and I spent half the morning talking back and forth with him, that we're in the clear. At least if I get detention it will be for a good reason this time instead of because I tried to drop a class.
Payment for the food you'll have to take up with Deb. She wouldn't let me pay for yours. I hope you don't mind that I brought my own dinner - figured you might feel more comfortable if I didn't sit and watch you eat."
She totally ignores the dress comment.

I'm off the drip, but the pills are pretty decent. What's this I hear about you wanting to tear apart Han's ship?
Re: Visit
I don't want to tear Han's ship apart! Just have a look around. It seems to be a bundle of running repairs.

Re: Send an email
It's Lana. I actually have "official" permission to stop by. Looong story. Anyway, I promised I'd sneak you in some real food. Deb's is serving Lasagna, Veggie Lasagna, and Italian sausage with veggies. Any of those sound good? Any dessert preference?
Lana
Re: Send an email
I could probably wrangle the lasagna one-handed. And cookies are pretty easy. Thanks. Tell Deb thanks too, and that I'll pay her when I get back home (or I can pay you back, whatever's easiest for you.)
See you later.
Shep
Re: Send an email
Will do.
See you in a while.

Re: Send an email
McKay stopped by to let me know you were OK. The Dean didn't summon me. I'm really sorry about this, pal.
BTW, d'you know enough about this McKay guy to know if I should let him fiddle with my lady? He's got this look in his eye about her wiring most men reserve for stacked girls.
Get better soon, I'd hate to have to blow myself up alone in Shop.
Han.
Re: Send an email
I'm okay. Seriously. You're talking to a guy who once started turning into a bug (long story, only ask if you really want me to get into it), this is pretty manageable. I get to go home tomorrow.
As for McKay... don't let him touch anything. He'll tell you he knows everything about everything, but the last time I let him fly one of my ships, he couldn't even manage a straight line. He likes to tinker and he *sometimes* gets things right, but not always, and he has no idea how your ship works, so unless you want to teach him, slap his hands. Hard.
As for stacked girls... McKay's problem is that he has a much better chance of 'getting lucky' with your machinery than he does with the aforementioned 'stacked girls'.
I won't be in Shop tomorrow, I've emailed the prof. But I should be back next week if the pain pills aren't making me too spacey. (I know, I know, how will anyone know the difference?) Shop is not a class where I need to be falling asleep at the switch, you know?
You got big plans for the weekend? I'm just gonna hang around campus and marvel at the wonders of modern drugs. They really do make this whole thing fairly painless.
Shep
Re: Send an email
And I let McKay know, in no uncertain terms, he was not to touch anything, especially since Chewie just got it all working.
Re: Send an email
I'm sooo busted for sneeking out to see you! I've not had the call from the dean yet, but I'm sure it's coming. Oh well, I'm amazed I've lasted this long without getting a detention.
I hope they're still giving you the good drugs, I won't be able to visit again, unless they move you to the clinic :( .
Hope you get this and that you can play Sims okay, beware the ballet dancing bear!
The offer to heal you if you need it still stands.
See you soon
Paige
Re: Send an email
I'm off the really good drugs, but the pills put a pretty serious dent in the pain. And I can take those when I go home too. (Can you imagine me dragging an I.V. poll from class to class?)
No more dancing bears! *g* I poked at them for a while today, but I've still got enough of the goofy juice in my system to make it hard to concentrate. Or was I always like that?
I'll get back to you on that healing thing... I don't want to... I don't know, could I do something to you if you aren't used to doing this? Anyway, a little P.T., a lot of little white pills, this silly looking brace... I'm doing okay.
I get to go home tomorrow afternoon.
if I don't go on the lam first this place is beyond boring. Thanks for the note!
Shep
Re: Send an email
With the healing I've done it a few times and been fine, so don't worry there either, but if you'd rather leave it to the professionals that's cool.
I'll keep an eye for you when you get back
Paige
xRe: Send an email
I think I have to check in at the clinic when I get back and then I'll probably go home to crash. I'll stick a note on the whiteboard when I get home, so people don't annoy my roommate asking if I'm back yet, okay?
Shep
Re: Send an email
That's cool, I'll keep an eye out for your return, I may even bring you chocolate or grapes! Yeah that's what I should bring grapes cos they're good for you!
Paige

Have you decided how you're getting out of here?
