Aziraphale's Rare Books

It's Tuesday, and Aziraphale's Rare Books is open!

Kiki can be seen through the window, sipping tea and shelving books when she's not distracted by reading them instead.

OOC

[OOC: If anyone comes by looking for Aziraphale, he's been grounded and is upstairs resting. ;)]

[OOC: I have no doubt! I'd like to see someone try to get past Kiki when she's in protective mode.]

((ooc: Because LJ has been possessed by a demon of the intarweb and is only e-mailing comments a small fraction of the time.))

[OOC: LOL Phale will be behaving himself and not trying to sneak out, promise. He doesn't want a Kiki-scolding!

And LJ is only emailing me half of my comments. *shares in the LJ hate*]

Not having stopped by in a while, Aayla decides to visit Aziraphale. She walks into the store, the bell gently jingling behind her. Seeing Kiki, she smiles.
"Hello, Kiki. Is Mr. Phale around?"

[ooc: OMG No! No exorcising! Phale learned his lesson last night. No more angel-magic until Crowley says it's okay.]

[identity profile] azurejedi.livejournal.com 2005-11-22 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Aayla looks a little concerned by the news. "Do you know what happened? Will he be ok?"

[identity profile] azurejedi.livejournal.com 2005-11-22 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Aayla smiles politely. "I hope so. Yes, please let him know that I stopped by and I hope his health returns soon. Could you also inform him that I'm returning to the Jedi Temple for a few days? Take care of yourself, too, Kiki." she says, grinning cheerfully at the girl.

Ooh, Demony

[He steps back in from smoking his cigarette while watching the sunset. Late autumn sunsets are one of many wonders that he enjoys, but would never say anything about. Now that it's dark, any manner of folk could wander into the shop] ((hint hint Darla))

Darla approaches the shop. On Lilah's recommendation, she was checking it out to see if it -- or the people within it -- had any useful information. From the little she could see from stepping inside the door, it looked like a cozy -- nearly twee -- bookstore. She was ready to dismiss it as useless.

[Sitting, languishing more like, in his chair by the tea table, he looks up at the lovely vision who has stepped through the door.]

Darla, my lovely, I haven't seen you outside of your suite in an age? To what do I owe this honor?

[She smiles at him in a practiced manner, pulling his name from a brief meeting.] Mr. Crowley? I didn't know you worked here as well. And what brings me here is simple curiosity. I was told that this was an extraordinary place.

[identity profile] azurejedi.livejournal.com 2005-11-22 11:39 pm (UTC)(link)
"Thank you, Kiki." She says, nodding slightly and leaving the shop.

[He snorts derisively] I don't work, pet. I drink tea and bother the few customers who can tolerate that little brat and the sad little man who isn't here today. Would you like some tea, my Darla? I am an excellent host...and it's not even mine. [He smiles harshly at her.]

You toil not, neither do you spin? I'd love some tea. Thank you. [She trails her fingers along the backs of books on the nearest shelf, examining them idly. One catches her attention briefly, and she turns to Crowley.] May I? [Indicating the book.]

Please, they love to be touched, read even. [He pours tea in the cup, and then passes his hand over it.] Just as you take it pet, AB negative, no sugar.

[Smiling gently, she takes the cup from his hand. She sensed... something about him, and assumed that he has sensed her vampire state and was joking about turning tea into blood. But the first taste of the blood in the cup -- the first that wasn't stale and old -- nearly brings her to her knees. She loses all interest in the book.] That's a nice trick. [Her voice is not quite steady, but her eyes are, and they level on his, hidden behind his sunglasses.]

Quite. If you'd come out of that hole of yours once in a while, you'd find out how accomidating the hotel can be for its guests. Let me know when you're empty there.

[He sits and pours his own tea, blowing across the surface.]

So, my dearest, you have the look of someone looking for something. What can I show you?
