New Sheriff in town
Standing on the outskirts, Lucas Buck put his hands on his hips and listened. Not just to the sounds of the town as it slowly roused to life with the beginning of the day, but really listened. Beneath the obvious pulse of the town, there was a heart beat, slow…steady and just perceptible. He smiled.
He had several orders of business to attend to, the least of which was finding a place to stay. Then to the mayor’s office to settle into his new role as the sheriff. Finally, he would need to stop by the station and get acquainted with the fine officers that have tried desperately to maintain the peace under…dubious…leadership.
There was a hotel in town if he remembered reading the Chamber of Commerce brochure right and struck off in a direction, trusting that he would eventually find his way there. Fandom Town wasn’t very big at all. Normally, hiding a hotel of the size of the Aficionado Arms should be rather difficult. His intelligence on Fandom Town would tell a different story….
[A post outlining who and what Sheriff Buck is, what he will be doing, etc...is coming soon.]

He shouldered his bag higher and went to the registration desk, leaning on it and smiling amicably at the man on the other side. "Morning. I need a room and I'm hoping you can give me weekly rates."

Rates depend on rooms, pet. How much are you looking to spend?

I'll need identification, and a major credit card...although it won't be billed.
[He slides the paperwork across the counter, then hands him a pen...a slender black old-fashioned one, with a silver nib.]

Lucas pulled his driver's license and a credit card from his wallet and slid them across the desk. When he took the pen, he inspected it closely and whistled low before starting to write. "Nice. You aren't afraid someone will walk off with it?"

[He picks the pen up and slips it into his inside breast pocket.] Welcome to Fandom, I trust you'll be doing the work no one else has managed quite to date?

His countenance darkened and he looked pointedly at his fingertips, brushing them lightly with his thumb. "Establish some ground rules."
Meeting the other's gaze, he raised his eyebrow to wait for the response.

[He leans forward, his wings straining to be let free and his mouth watering at the thought of tearing the new sheriff's flesh from his bones. He swallows hard, controlling himself with a discipline that only comes from years and years of practice.]
But perhaps it would be a wise move...on both our parts.

So OOC it isn't even funny.
At least the new Sheriff isn't Lumbergh. *really shudders*
Re: So OOC it isn't even funny.
What is that from?
Re: So OOC it isn't even funny.
From a movie called Kiss the Sky, late 90s I think? Gary Cole is another stage actor from the Chicago scene. It features the 2 of them as yuppie types who run away to the South Pacific to find enlightenment and have a threesome, basically.
Re: So OOC it isn't even funny.
I'll bet Grissom didn't think there was film in that camera. ;)

Re: So OOC it isn't even funny.
Sara would pay for those.Re: So OOC it isn't even funny.
I have all sorts of pictures she'd pay for... but those I'd have to e-mail. *heh*Re: So OOC it isn't even funny.
Send them and Sara will see Grissom in her catsuit?Re: So OOC it isn't even funny.
Well, that's a big 10-4. Although, I've always thought this outfit (http://www.stuffmagazine.com/girls/jorja_fox/jorja_fox_l6.jpg) was... enjoyable.Re: So OOC it isn't even funny.
I'll have someone size that down to an icon. Jeebus. Though I've kept an eye out for school girl stuff as well. Grissom hit one of Sara's buttons. *snerk*Re: So OOC it isn't even funny.
There are more where that came from. When I get home tonight I'll make you some bases and e-mail those along with dirty pics. There are even unreleased alternates out there. Few hours, 6EST or so.Re: So OOC it isn't even funny.
Sweet. That's when I leave work, eat, and go home. I look forward to it. *eg*no subject
