Rare Book Shop: Tuesday

Marty unlocks the door, checks to make sure that the tea and coffee pots have been miraculously filled, the cookies are in place and that the flowers are still dead.

He straightens up the books which never seem to sell and awaits for the day to begin.

Since his classes for the day aren't until the afternoon, Belthazor hits the bookstore early and starts to browse through the selections.

"For some reason, I think you'd rather not," Belthazor said with forced pleasantry.

"Yeah, you really sound like it," Bel said sarcastically. "I can find what I need on my own. If I have trouble, I'll be sure to call you over."

Ducking through the door out of the wind, Wilson gave his coat a little shake to make sure he wasn't tracking leaves and looked thoughtfully about the shop. He really hadn't taken a 'day off' since coming to Fandom and was a little unsure about what he wanted to do with himself but he rather had a feeling it involved quiet and a book.

Giving Marty a wave, if he was around...perhaps a suriptitious once over of the professional nature, Wilson hung his coat across the back of the couch in the reading lounge and disappeared into the stacks. He was fairly certain that Phale had to have a copy of what he was looking for and sure enough, with a little ferreting about, the oncologist let out a happy little noise and carried his prize back to the lounge.

Settling comfortably onto the couch, Wilson cracked open the volumn of Sherlock Holmes. Oh, he'd read them all...numerous times actually but not in almost a decade and some books, some stories were just...comfort food for the brain.

Looking up from where Holmes and Watson were chasing the Red Headed League, Wilson pursed his lips thoughtfully and tried to call up the notes he'd left in Marty's chart.

"Err, well. Depends upon how much stress and strain you keep putting on them. Unfortunately ribs aren't like a limb that can be imobalized for it's own good. If you're careful...about 5 weeks if you're...not careful, 8 to 10."

Seeing that Marty has the shop well in hand, Kiki, when she comes in, gathers up the used teacups and takes them into the kitchen. She's in there washing and cleaning for a bit.

[ooc: Meh, not really. I send Kiki down to the shop to play fairly frequently - if it's busy, she'll help, if there's someone else on, she's got other things to do. She just likes hanging out there, and I like to give her a place to go to account for her time. Basically, my online time isn't structured or steady enough to be able to truly have her keep a strict working schedule. If you and Anya and Aziraphale are good with an open work schedule, I don't really see a need to make set times :)]

[OOC: Just as long as there's no selling of books going on in this bookstore, we should all be just fine. :)]

After classes, Parker comes in, looking vaguely distracted. She browses the Interior Design section while waiting for Azriphale.

Coming out of the kitchen with a fresh pot of tea, Aziraphale spots Parker and smiles brightly.

"Good day, Miss Parker! I want to thank you again for the lovely flowers." He waves his free hand toward the arrangement sitting on the counter.

[ooc: Sorry. Email notifies suck.]

Parker looks up from a big coffee-table book on home redesign, and smiles. "You're definitely welcome. Especially considering what they were for. I had no idea you were so ill until C.J. told me." She shakes her head. "Whatever you did, I wish you hadn't taken that risk. It couldn't have been worth it."

"Not at all, my dear. It was my own fault for not being better prepared." He holds up the teapot. "Cocoa, correct?"

"Definitely." She holds out a cup, and drops in a few marshmellows. "Has Marty told you that Mr. Halo-boy is still at the school now?"

"Mr...Halo-boy?" he asks, pouring cocoa into the cup. "Ah, you mean Angelus, of course. No, I wasn't aware of that. But...that's good, isn't it?"
