Center of Town- Tuesday Morning

Cat has decided to try a different approach to wooing the ladies, he is currently standing in the center of town on a large box, with a bunch of flowers and a mega phone.

"Ladies of Fandom, please form an orderly queue, I am currently on the look out for a little love. You heard me right! I will be selecting the best 7 or 8 lovely ladies to date the wonder that is me!"

He pauses and looks around for the screaming crowd of women that should be heading his way.

"I assure you all there's plenty of me to go around and species it not important."

He grins and waits for the mass of girls that is sure to come right?

As he heads through town on his way up to the school, Geoff spots the strange-looking fellow standing on the box. Shaking his head and laughing to himself, he stops to watch for a minute, wondering if the...whatever he is thinks this will actually work. He's also amazed at how really bad the fellow is at what he's trying to pull off.

"Hello, friend. Can I ask what exactly you think you're going to accomplish here?" Geoff tries -- really he does -- not to look too amused. After all, everyone has to start somewhere.

"You...think you're going to get yourself a girlfriend by standing on a street corner and announcing your availability?" Geoff tilts his head to side and considers. "All right, I have to admire your enthusiasm. But...I think you might be going about it the wrong way."

Good God, I don't believe I'm doing this.

"Flowers are good...but, they don't mean anything if you get them before you even know who they're for. Also, this whole...announcement thing you're doing? I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but-- you're doing it wrong."

"Right. Your, um, raw sexiness is...fine, but your delivery could use some work. You can't expect the ladies to show an interest if they don't know what they're showing an interest in."

"Right. Well...everyone needs a little convincing now and then. Maybe they just...don't recognize your charms. You need to sell yourself more."

Geoff nods slowly. "Yes, exactly. In case a...blind lady expresses interest. So, yes, suggestions. Um. For starters, you might try explaining why women should want to date you. Don't just assume they know what your good qualities are."

"All right, that's a start. Sensative is good, but you can't just say that, you have to show it. And...you have some interesting skills -- pilot and clothing designer, so that's also good. So...show them your qualities, rather than just standing up and announcing that you're available."

"Well...you design clothes, right? So, compliment their clothing. Tell them what's good about it, and why it looks good on them. That's a good start. Then, when you've engaged them in conversation, don't be pushy. Show them that you're sensative -- listen to what they want to talk about, ask them questions, hold the door for them. That sort of thing."

Taking the offered hand, he replies, "Geoff Chaucer. Good to meet you. I'm on my way up to the school right now, so I'm afraid I can't stay and watch. But...good luck, friend."

He suppresses an amused smile. But hey, if get's the guy to stop with the bullhorn...
