The Fourth Sin - Wednesday Night
Becky sat behind the desk as usual, flipping through a Sharper Image catalogue and occasionally marking pages.
She shifted slightly, adjusting the envelope that was stuck in her back pocket. Every few minutes, she would glance up to the door as though waiting for someone to come in.

"How are you tonight, Becky?" he asked happily as he approached the desk.

She pulled the envelope from her pocket. "And tell the mailman you don't live here."

He seemed ecstatic as he idly opened the envelope. "Sorry about the mail." He skimmed the letter as he spoke. "I don't know what NPC Postman is doing. I mean..." As his eyes came across the end of the page, Gob stopped and looked terrified. "OMG."

Gob somberly stared at a far wall, hoping once again to appear dramatic. "I shouldn't have sold that book." That book is Magic for Morons: The Secrets of Illusion Revealed for Schmucks Like You by GOB Bluth, still 20% off at Bluth's House of Illusions.
"I've made a terrible mistake."

"Thank you, Becky," he said with most of his normal verbal swagger. "I appreciate it."
[OOC: You took this in a direction that I really wasn't expecting - even though I should have - but I can work with it. And make it sillier. Thank you.]

[ooc: Eep. I didn't even think about the fact that it would take it in a weird direction until you replied. It's just second nature to Becky, since she's grown rather fond of him.]

[OOC: Oh, no, don't worry about it. I didn't think it through before. And for the record, the weird direction is a new, wacky place I have to take to get where I want. This is even sillier than I was planning to begin with. You'll get an e-mail.]

Gob pulled a card out of thin air and gave it to Becky. Amazingly enough, it was the Queen of Hearts, exactly the card he was trying for. "Thanks again, Becky."
