Around Town, Friday
Stepping outside the shop for a breath of air, Aziraphale notices a familiar purple object nestled in the empty flower box by the window. Carefully he picks it up, examining it and frowning slightly. Then he looks around, up and down the street, and at the buildings across the way, as if he's looking for something specific.
With a small irritated sigh, he heads across the street toward Wolfram & Hart, stopping by the streetlamp in front to pick something up.
((For
tooniceuglyties, but feel free to stop Phale and ask him what he's doing.))

Whistling softly, he hopped the curb and was about to turn up towards the shop when he caught sight of a familiar figure on the other side of the street, next to a streetlamp.
"Aziraphale!" The oncologist called out, trotting lightly, his long overcoat kicking around his heels as he crossed the street. He was about to ask how the angel's day was going when he spied the two avocados in the other man's hands.
Blink.
"Um...need a lime?"
no subject
"They've got out."
no subject
But he only ended up blinking again and eyeing Phale a little askance.
"They...don't have feet."

With an short exhalation of breath, Aziraphale wills the avocados away, turning to look up the street. "I expect they're all over town by now."
no subject
"Wasn't that one of the first 'Commands'? Be ... fruitful and multiply?"
There really was a special place in hell for him.

"Yes, James, I believe it was. But...I don't think this is quite what He meant." He eyes the buildings up and down the street. "A little spell of Kiki's went wrong yesterday. I thought we'd got all of them. It would appear I was wrong."

"Oh, Mr. Aziraphale," she cries, "an awful thing happened - I brought a gift to Mr. Crowley from Professor Tara - I mean, Maclay - I mean, that's not the awful thing - and when Mr. Crowley opened it, there was a rubber duck, and with it was one of those purp-"
She breaks off as her eyes focus on what Phale is holding. "Oh," she says hollowly, "you've found them, too."

[[Well, you *had* to place it outside W&H, right?]]

Spying one of the errant fruits hiding behind the fire hydrant, he stoops down and picks it.
[OOC: Well, you are right across the street! Which I hadn't even realized until today.]

soulsole of her shoe. It's a good thing the angel can't hear what she said.

Though...these did seem to be beyond the norm for avocados.
Laughing, warmly he waved to Darla if she happened to look back up.

"Mr. Phale?" she calls.

"Miss Maclay! We were just talking about you, and your lovely plan for Crowley. How are you?"
no subject
Aziraphale may be able to see a fine, almost invisible golden cord, that stretches out from her chest off into the distance - although Wilson certainly wouldn't.

"I... it's an ethics class. We have to discuss things - things that people really would rather not discuss. It's my job to ask the hard questions, and I tried to lighten it, but... we were talking today about sexual abuse. What informed consent means, and what constitutes rape. And I have my own issues with that, you know? I mean... Mr. Crowley told you, right? But I was trying really, really hard to keep it gentle, and I had a couple of people tell me I have no business being a teacher. Which kind of, um... kind of hit me really hard."

"I'm so sorry, my dear. People say things they don't mean when emotions are high, the which I'm certain you know. I'm also certain that you're exactly the sort of person who ought to be a teacher. Your students are lucky to have you, and I know they'll come round."
