The Emporium -- Monday
Michael turned the sign from "closed" to "open" and took a seat behind the counter, deciding that Tetris was a good way to pass the time between customers.

He dropped a slow wink at Ben "But frozen marshmellows might be detrimental to fragile ornaments." He somehow doesn't sound as though that's a bad thing.
"Had a question for the both of you. I know you and Hunter kinda tried to keep Michael from the stage at Caritas, but how are you with other kinds of singing? Say, carolling?"
no subject
Ben shrugs at the question. "As long as they aren't Jackson Five tunes with titles that match my name, I could be okay with that. Are you getting a group together for caroling?"

Raking his hair back out of his face with a humble shrug, he answered, "I'd thought about it, and brainstormed it over a bit with Sonia, and she seemed to think it'd be a good idea.. I thought it'd be a nice way for some of us new folks to meet other people, and a chance for the kids up at school to come do something down here besides shop."
"And besides," he murmurred, "it's fun."

Ben had looked .. well, really rather like hell when he walked in, and Aaron was glad he was able to make him smile for a little while.

Moments later, Tobias enters the shop, wearing the same clothes he had a few nights before. He brushes the snow off of his well broken-in black leather jacket and looks for Michael.

'cause my mun leaves me all alone then."He hesitates before continuing. "There is one small thing I need to tell you though... I... Uh..." Tobias takes a deep breath and leans in, lowering his voice. "I'm actually a hawk..."

Michael blinks at the latter statement. This is actually not the strangest thing he's heard in Fandom, but still, it's a bit of a surprise. "A hawk," he repeats quietly, thinking of all the recent talk of people changing into animals at random. "Well, no discrimination here," he adds. "Is it something you can control? Anything special you'll need to accommodate this, uh, condition?"
no subject
He pauses for a moment and remembers something. "Oh... I don't really have a place to keep my clothes, either. It's difficult bringing them with me not to mention keeping them clean and dry when I'm in hawk form. Would there be some sort of a storage area for me to keep my business attire?" He puts his hands in his jean pockets and looks down at his semi-soaked and very cold pants.

((ooc: I'll get back to you via e-mail with a few pointers. I've pretty much been winging it [pardon the pun :P] but I'll give you an idea of the store. As for what the Emporium carries, pretty much think scaled-back superWalmart.))
