The Park, Early Evening, Monday

It's snowing in Fandom, and it's a good bet this makes for at least a few pretty happy people around town.

One of those happy people is an angel with a book shop, who can currently be seen walking along the edge of the park with one half of everyone's favorite pair of school doctors.

((Wanna get out and play in the snow? Here's a place for you to do it! Have fun!))

Wilson adored the snow. He loved the soft silence it blanketed the world in as it fell, the way time and nature seemed to stand still as if caught in the hypnotic fall of the soft flakes. He loved the way the flakes felt as they brushed across his cheeks, caught in his eyelashes and chilled his hair.

As the snow had continued to fall through the rest of the day, Wilson had grown more and more restless till he'd finished up in the blessedly quiet clinic and careened into the small apartment to estoll the virtues of snow to House. Poor House who had heard the poetlike ramblings hundreds of times before and who watched the younger doctor bounce about in the small space up to the point where Wilson finally shot out the door, long coat whipping on the aircurrents behind him.

Honestly, give an oncologist a solid 8 hours of sleep and he never knows what to do with himself.

Out in the snow as he walked along with Phale, Wilson was busy explaining the concept of the perfect snowball to the angel.

"And it positively must explode upon impact. Not only because that way it doesn't risk causing actual damage but also because you get maximum effect of snow getting all over your opponant."

If it weren't for the fact that dignified 39 year old oncologist's didn't bounce Wilson might have done so. As it was, he probably just took a bad step or something.

"I am glad you asked that, my friend." Wilson exclaimed poking a finger up towards the dark, snow laden sky. "It's all in the feel."

Reaching to tug off his gloves, Wilson tucked the garments into the pockets of his over coat and bent down to sweep up a handful of powdery snow.

"Now see...if you do this with your gloves on you lose the delicacy of touch needed to pack it properly. Pack it too tight, you end up with a flying brick of ice, too loose and powder just puffs everywhere when you try to throw it."

Talk, talk, pack, pack

James Wilson was the picture of soulful innocence as he nodded agreeably to Phale's suggestion.

"Of course, I mean...if you were going to throw a snowball at anyone that is. That tree over there looks quick promising."

Wilson helpfully pointed towards one of the tall trees that dominated the park and if it just so happened that he...fell back a pace behind the angel, well that surely didn't mean anything...

Right?

Wilson stood there, snow falling oh so gently on his dark hair, across the dark fabric of his overcoat, standing out pristine, white and oh so innocent. His expression was positively serene as he regarded the angel with a sweet smile.

"Aziraphale...I must explain that...in this matter, I have no free will."

At which point the snowball he'd made so carefully for the angel's benefit came flying out of his left hand, aimed directly for the spot in the middle of the angel's chest.

Sawyer's giving Paige a piggy-back as they head into the park, Paige loved the snow, there was something so romantic about it, so as soon she'd noticed it was snowing he'd suggesting taking a trip to town to make the most of it.

She holds on tight smiling as they reach the park and he helps her down.
"People saw that you know!" she says giggling, "your rep is soooo ruinied now!"

[identity profile] conathon.livejournal.com 2005-12-06 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, Sawyer wasn't bundled up and immediately as his foot left the door frame of the building, it made himself regret it all. He slightly shivered in his placid leather jacket, Paige was giving him some sort of warmth over his back which was good enough for now.

"Ssh! You better not say a word." he huffs as he grasps harder onto her legs, "You hear?" he mutters with a grunt, shuffling through the snow.

[identity profile] the4thsister.livejournal.com 2005-12-06 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
She laughs, running a hand through his hair, "too late, sweetie, it'll be all over the radio by tomorrow! 'Newsflash, Sawyer's a big cuddly bundle of love!'"

[identity profile] conathon.livejournal.com 2005-12-06 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
"Arg!" he growls lightly and playfully as he tosses her into a big fluff of white snow, he then scooped up a handful of snow himself with his already numb hands; she was going to pay for that remark!

[identity profile] the4thsister.livejournal.com 2005-12-06 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
Paige pushed herself up and checked she was still wearing both earings Sawyer had forced her to wear out.

She raised an eyebrow at the snowball he was forming, "now now James, I was just joking there's no need for that!" she said picking up a handful of snow herself, only she was smart enough to be wearing gloves

[identity profile] conathon.livejournal.com 2005-12-06 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
Quickly, he runs behind a tree, collecting a small stock pile of lovely circular snowballs that would get Paige back for that remark. He couldn't even feel his hands by the time he was done making about 10-15 snowballs that were packed pretty tight.

"You know, you can always run!" he hollers over his shoulder from around the tree, "Because, I'm pretty skilled with this kind of stuff." he grins to himself, holding two lucky snowballs in his hands. Oh, payback was a bitch, a huge bitch.

[identity profile] the4thsister.livejournal.com 2005-12-06 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
Paige shakes her head laughing, "Do you seriously think I'm affraid of you and a few snowballs? I don't think so!"

She looks down at her pile of snowballs, but unlike him she's not hiding behind a tree!

"You know you can't stay behind there forever right?" she calls over to him

Tonks, hot pink scarf flapping in the wind, was crossing through the park when she noticed what was going on. She grinned.

[identity profile] kikidelivers.livejournal.com 2005-12-06 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
"Tonks!" shouts Kiki from above. She's waving excitedly as she flies over head. "Tonks, up here!"

[As stated below, (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomtownies/430486.html?thread=17653398#t17653398) Kiki's game for a snowball fight ;-) ]

[identity profile] luridpinkspikes.livejournal.com 2005-12-06 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
[*blinks* You replied to mine right as I did to yours. =)]

Tonks playfully threw a snowball into the air, smiling. She intentionally missed, but she'd hoped to get the young witch's attention. "Hey!" She called.

[identity profile] kikidelivers.livejournal.com 2005-12-06 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
[Hee, good timing!]

Although Kiki can see the shot is wide, it makes a good excuse to dive. She plummets towards the earth and stops short just above the ground, grinning widely. "Hey, Tonks! It looks like Dr. Wilson and Mr. Aziraphale have started a snowball fight over there. (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomtownies/430486.html?thread=17610390#t17610390) You want to team up and show 'em what a couple of witches can do?"

[identity profile] luridpinkspikes.livejournal.com 2005-12-06 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
"Of course!" Tonks agreed, returning Kiki's grin, "Let's go."

[identity profile] luridpinkspikes.livejournal.com 2005-12-06 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
Tonks cheerfully returned the smile and wave .

[identity profile] kikidelivers.livejournal.com 2005-12-06 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
Elated, Kiki flies around the park through the falling snow. It's been a while since she flew just for the joy of it, and it's fabulous.

[Moving target for any snowball-throwers!]

[identity profile] 12parseckessel.livejournal.com 2005-12-06 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
As they head for home, Han tosses a lightly packed snowball at the bristle end of Kiki's broom, and waves.

[identity profile] kikidelivers.livejournal.com 2005-12-06 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
"Eeeeeeeeeee! Nooo!" she squeals, squirming, "I've already got half the snow of that tree down my back!" She tries to crawl away, but only ends up floundering deeper in the snowbank. She flops a bit in the drift and then collapses breathlessly - soft as the snow was, it did knock a little of the wind out of her, and laughing so hard isn't doing anything to help her catch it again.

"Snookums must excuse the phrase," she gasps, "but I really am a sitting duck here!"

His husband busy with researching and writing, Michael takes a stroll alone in the park, watching the ongoing snowball fights with amusement.
