Rare Books Shop, Tuesday Afternoon

Feeling terribly guilty about not having opened the shop himself for days, Aziraphale puts out the tea, flips the sign to open, and ensconces himself at the counter to go through the inventory. Someone's been making changes to his price listings, and he's concerned now that customers are being charged too much.

He smiles at the little penguin-angel hanging from the cash register and decides there ought to be hot cocoa available in the lounge for anyone coming in out of the cold.

[OOC: Mun is frazzled today. Please be patient.]

Kiki comes in. "Oh lord, hot chocolate," she says wearily, casting her eyes heavenward, dropping her broom in the corner and making a beeline for the fire and the carafe and cups. As she takes the first sip of the drink, she glances upward again. "Thank you," she says.

[Kiki's available to work, once she's had a proper sugar jolt.]

Lily stops in between classes and waves to Mr. Phale as she walks towards him. "Hullo! I just wanted to thank you again for the wonderful gathering on Saturday," she says cheerfully.

"I did enjoy myself very much! It was so nice to get away from the school and just relax for an afternoon."

"I would love that - if it's no trouble, that is," she says, removing her gloves and unbuttoning her coat.

"Thank you, Mr. Phale." Lily takes one of the window seats and looks out at the people passing while he hangs her coat. Turning back, she starts in with the small talk. "How has business been lately?"

"Oh, we're coming up on finals soon, so there seems to be a frantic rush to learn everything we've been avoiding all term," Lily says with a small smile. "It's... not exactly smooth sailing at the moment, but the prospect of the holiday break just around the corner is a pleasant one."

She accepts the hot chocolate with and sips it slowly, looking out the window again. "The view is lovely." She pauses. "Sometimes I just like watching people from a safe, comfortable hide-out," she says softly.

He'd felt apprehensive about the walk into town, because of the possibility of hitting a slick spot of ice. He'd managed, though, secure with WIlson at his side.

House had a nagging feeling in the back of his mind, about Wilson's trip to New Jersey and, well other things. Things he wasn't ready to admit, but that lingered just beyond the scope of his consciouness like a shadow, long and stretched behind him.

He glanced at Wilson as they approached the book shop, light glowing warm in the windows.

Wilson was also lost in his own thoughts, probably not worth mentioning the majority of them but as they reached the door of the shop, something told him that this was a visit House needed to make on his own.

"Hey, you'll be all right from here." It wasn't a question, it was a statement. There weren't many people Wilson would trust House with but Phale was definitely one of them.

"I'm going to...just dust out the mental cobwebs a little." Wilson nodded towards the Park just across the road.

Leaning to kiss the corner of his lover's mouth, Wilson pushed the door open for House but then headed off to cross the street.

House glances over his shoulder, the direction Wilson went. "He wanted to go see if the ducks are frozen in the pond." He chuckles just a little and pauses to take his coat off, he certainly doesn't need it inside.

Given that tea is one addiction he's allowing himself to indulge, he nods eagerly. "Tea would be lovely, thank you."

He followed Phale into the lounge, his step more certain now that he's indoors.

House sits and once the tea is in front of him, picks up the cup and wraps both hands around it for the warmth.

"The cold makes my leg feel heavy. Like there's a weight in my thigh." But it doesn't really hurt. It's just...there. He takes a small sip of the tea, letting it sit on his tongue before swallowing it. "That's why I wanted Wilson to walk with me, just in case, you know?"

After her talk with Mr. Phale, Lily wanders over to say hello.

"Mr. Crowley? Do you have a minute? I don't want to disturb you or anything if you're busy."

"Umm, okay... thanks," she says a bit confused, and unsure whether or not she should be insulted that he just called her short.

"I just wanted to ask about the fliers for your Holiday party - because you asked if I would hang them around the school? I was wondering when you might have those, and how I'll know to come get them."
