The angel had gone to New Jersey with the good doctor for the day. Crowley sighed, New Jersey. As if he's ever done anything bad enough to deserve that. He busied himself preparing the Shop for customers. He'd made a promise, and it would be a cold day back home before he let the angel down. He even left the decorations just where they'd been placed. He set out the tea service and busied himself with baking. Really baking. Why this surprises the humans, he'd never understand. He enjoyed baking.

After his talk with Aziraphale the night before, Yazoo had been thinking. He needed more information. Pulling up outside, Yazoo peered in the shop window to make sure it was open before he pushed in the door.

[Stepping out from the kitchen, a fresh batch of cranberry scones on a plate, he nodded at Yazoo] He's not here today, boy. Can I be of help to you?

It was the dark man again. Yazoo thought about coming back another time but his overriding need to find something out was more pressing. "Looking for a book," he said.

[He gestures to the shelves and stacks] Well then you've come to the right place. If you'd said you wanted a monkey, that would take considerable more work. What book?

With Crowley's gesture, Yazoo looked where he motioned and nodded. "A book on..." he searched for the right words. He and his brothers discussed it last night. "Personality disorders."

Although, why he'd want a monkey, he wasn't prepared to guess.

What she didn't know she'd be getting Crowley and not the stuffy one did she? Plus it's Christmas and that means she needs to buy presents. and she's not the seen the pretty demon in ages and wants tormenting!

Paige walks in and starts to look around, "right gifts for James and Tonks," she mutters to herself.

[He sits in his chair, reading a book on what goes on inside the minds of women...laughing occasionally. When she walks in, he looks up and leers.] My dearest Paige...you've returned to me. Shall we get down to business?

[She wraps her arms around herself protectively] he's only a demon, you should get used to dealing with them now, ready for when you're older

Crowley [shes says with a polite nod] I need to find presents for a couple of friends, but I'm not sure what could you help me? [she raises an eyebrow at her own suggestion]

[He rises and fairly oozes over to her, his fluid motion quick and purposeful. He circles her slowly, smelling her hair.] I could help you in ways you can't imagine, precious. But presents...certainly. [He steps back.] Let's pretend I'm a simple shopkeep today, shall we?

[She coughs slightly] I'm sure you could Crowley, but yes the books are I'm interested in today thank you, though I'd not call you simple, [she smiles safe in knowledge he can't really hurt her, well she hoped not anyway]

[Sometime in the early afternoon, the Doctor wanders in. Remarkably, he knows exactly what he's looking for and has a general idea of where to find it.]

[He looks up from his seat, grinning coldly. He doesn't make any movement to rise, although he drops his glasses down, peering over the rim.]

[He knows little of Neruda, save his popularity--most of the times he'd been on Earth, he hadn't had an interest in love poetry. So he'd done a little research before coming and remarkably, though it took scanning the shelves of the locked cabinet...found the book (http://www.alibris.com/search/detail.cfm?chunk=25&mtype=&qisbn=0292760299&S=R&bid=8662872068&pbest=&pqtynew=&page=1&matches=2&qsort=p) he was looking for. With a price tag that could only be from hell itself...]

Little trouble in the wooing department there, Doctor? P'raps you need to stop spreading yourself so thin. Concentrate on one lover at a time. You're no Cassanova you know. [He pours the Doctor a cup of tea, and places a lemon wedge and two sugar cubes on the saucer.]

[He's staring at the shelf, so his voice is still distracted, but there's a touch of defense to it.] No trouble at all. Unless one counts the price of holiday gifts these days, and multiplies that times three.

Sometime in the afternoon, when Crowley wasn't busy with the Doctor, Belthazor wandered into the bookstore. Could he be looking to talk to a certain 6000 year old demon? It very well could be.

[He's picking at a scone as he reads through a Regency romance..wondering what the angel sees in them. He looks up and grins.] Belthazor, my boy. Finally time someone I could truly talk to came in.

Bel noted Crowley's book but choose not to say anything about it. "Good," he said. "I was hoping I could talk to you." He looked like he hadn't had a very good night's sleep.

Phoebe isn't trying to bother Crowley, no, not at all. However, she does want to drop off a gift for him that she found. When she saw it, she had known she had to purchase it for Mr. Crowley.

The large box contains a carefully wrapped antique tea set. She's not sure of the origins, only that it is very old and has paintings of colourful dragons on it.

Yes, it was a perfect gift to get for Mr. Crowley.
