Rare Books Shop, Monday

Having returned from his weekend trip to New York with Dr. Wilson -- and having returned in a particularly jovial mood at that -- Aziraphale has inspected the shop and gotten back to work. Not that he expected anything to have changed, mind you, but he's well aware of the sort of hijinks the demon can get up to.

Everything seems to be in order however, so the sign on the door says 'OPEN', tea is set out in the lounge, and the angel is in for whatever you might need.

Well, apparently Crowley sold three over the weekend and it didn't bring on the apocalypse. So, go ahead and browse.

Jack wanders in. He knows CJ loves this shop, so finding her a Christmas present here is his best bet.

Aziraphale smiles at the young man as he comes in the door. "Good day, my dear. Can I help you find something, or would you like to just browse for a bit?"

"I think I need some help. I want to get something for my mother... for CJ. I think you know her, right?" Jack smiles kind of sheepishly. "Anyway, I want to get something special for her. But I'm not sure what to get. I know she loves this store, so I thought I'd come here."

Dream could just get the book he needs in his realm, of course.

But he's restless. He wanders into the bookstore to see whetehr they have the edition he needs.

Busily shelving books -- well, okay, he's leisurely shelving books -- Aziraphale looks around the bookcase at the sound of the door. Smiling, he steps with a greeting.

"Good day! Can I help you find something?"


[ooc: It's been ages since I read the comics, so I don't remember exactly, but it seems to me that Phale would likely know who/what Dream is?]

"Would you have a good Latin translation copy of The Odyssey? Somethign suitable for students new to Latin."

Poking his head out from the stacks, where he's shelving books, Aziraphale smiles at the young woman.

"Good day, my dear. Can I help you with something?"

Marty waves at Phale as he starts disorganizing the books so no one can find anything they want to buy.

Aziraphale smiles at Marty as he works in the stacks. He doesn't realize what Marty is doing, but if he did he'd be very pleased, as people have been buying far too many books lately.

Kiki drops by. Seeing Marty hard at work reversing everything her orderly little self worked on and thus giving her more disorder to organize which should make her quite happy as well, Kiki waves at Phale. "Hi, Mr. Aziraphale," she grins, "how was your trip?"

"Not bad," Kiki answers. "The usual, plus some Secret Santa deliveries and issues to work out. I'm having a problem with some of the people not giving gifts to their elves yet, and there's less than a week left. But anyway, that's just a minor set-back. Tell me all about your vacation!"
