Early Monday Evening, the Park
Belthazor walked through the park, heading for Caritas, lost in thought. Monday nights were Phoebe's student council night, so bored and looking for something to do, he'd decided to head to Caritas so he could have a drink and mock listen to people singing.
He had everything he needed now. He had the ingredients, he had the spell. His skill in sorcery wasn't impressive, but it was adequate for this simple magic. He even knew he would succeed, thanks to Phoebe's premonition. She'd seen Angelus free again. Maybe not this first attempt, but surely one of the things he had planned would work and tear the unwanted soul right out of Angelus.
Except that same premonition had sent Phoebe running to his enemies to tell them. He didn't know whom she had talked to, but he was certain she had told someone. She was as torn between love and duty as he, but she couldn't live with herself if she ignored a chance to stop innocent blood from being shed. So she would warn them, and they would try to stop him.
What would she do when they tried to kill him?
If he was a proper demon, he would kill her for her betrayal. No, he would've killed her weeks ago, and her sisters with her, when he realized they were the Charmed Ones. By letting her live, he was betraying the Underworld. The remainder of his life would be measured in days at best once Raynor and the Source found that out. He just hoped by then Phoebe was strong enough to survive the attacks that would follow. He'd been trying to teach her to fight, but her powers were passive, unlike her sister's. Going one on one against a demon, she didn't stand a chance.
He idly wondered if since he was already betraying the Source, why couldn't he betray Angelus as well and just abandon any attempt to free him? Because Angelus was here and the Source was not? Because Angelus had claimed him, and Raynor had given him over? Because Angelus gave him the respect he craved by never got from anyone in the Underworld? Because it wasn't just duty, it was revenge, payback on those who had taken his friend away. They -- even Angel -- wanted him to believe that Angelus would kill him if he brought him back, but that was ridiculous. For one thing, he'd be grateful. For another, Angelus wouldn't have bothered to claim him as his own from Raynor if he didn't need him.
He could justify risking himself to bring Angelus back, but Phoebe? She'd put herself between anyone Angelus wanted to harm. And she'd put herself between him and anyone who tried to kill him. He didn't want her in the middle. Like him.
[OOC: Open for interaction if you want to play poke the angsty demon on his way to Caritas. ;) ]

Hands in the pockets of his overcoat, he happened to look up and spot a familiar blonde head. Brightening and before taking into account the taller figure with Darla, Wilson called out cheerfully.
"Darla! Good evening."

Seeing Wilson approach, Bel cleared his throat and looked over Darla's shoulder.

Still he kept his tone light and friendly as he finished walking towards them both.
"I apologize for interupting you two. I just, hadn't seen you since the whole avocado situation and wanted to say hello. Good evening, Bel."

"Bel? Yes, we've met...well, sort of. I don't know that he would remember me." Wilson said with professional sort of ease and inwardly it was his turn to wonder if Darla knew who and what she was talking with.

"Yes, exactly. I must say it's much better seeing you on your feet. But I fear I've interupted. Darla, another time. Bel." He nodded to both and headed off.
Now he had a couple of things to be thinking about.
[ooc: Damn east coast time and work schedule. Didn't want to hold you guys up when I drop off here shortly so, thanks for letting me swing through!! :D]
