Solstice preparations at the First Local Bank

It's Solstice season, and Salmoneus is feeling the spirit.

Early this morning Hermes stopped by to bring him the very large package he'd ordered. Even now the contents of the said package were strewn about through the bank. There are boughs of holly around, and the cheery scent of spiced apple cider permeates the place.

Even Fluffy the Harpy seems in the spirit as she reclines near the doorway to the vault room. She's wearing a red bow around her neck and happily shredding the packing material that came in the big package. Salmoneus sighs when he looks at her, but just shakes his head and smiles.

"So, what do you think, the red one for Michael? Or the blue one?" He holds up an item in each hand and asks the question of Fluffy. Fluffy looks back, a piece of wool still dangling out of her mouth. Her head tilts one way, then the other. Finally she blinks at him.

"Yeah, I thought the red too. The blue one can go to Red." He thinks about it. "Or the red one for Red? That would be appropriate, wouldn't it?" Looking down her nose at him, Fluffy obviously doesn't think much of that. "Okay, okay. Blue for Red, and red for Michael." He nods and sets the items aside to write the tags.

[ooc: come pick up a present from Sal!]

Michael comes in and sets a money pouch on the counter. "Hey, Salmoneus. Hey, girl." He nods to the harpy. "Just here to make a deposit." He points to the radio. "What, no music?"

Michael nods. "With so much going on these days, I'm concerned about keeping too much loose cash around the store. I don't think we've had a robbery in this town yet, but I don't want to go inviting one. There should be $1000 in there." He frowns, thinking. "We'll definitely get you a new radio. You might think about giving that one to the school, the shop teacher may be able to use it as a project for the next term."

"A school spirit club? What exactly would they do?" Michael didn't remember having much school spirit. Although around here, 'school spirit' might be a nickname for a local ghost.

At the question, he answers, "Just add it in." Looking around, he smiles. "You've certainly found the holiday cheer. Are you going to come caroling with us tomorrow night? There's a party at Mr. Phale's shop this weekend, too."

Michael initials the slip and hands it back. He tilts his head at the question. "Probably similar, I'd guess. We'll go around to different places and sing holiday songs -- not all of them are strictly for Christmas. We have some of the songs printed out so you wouldn't have to know them already." He shrugs. "If you decide not to join us, we'll be sure to stop by and sing for you. And your friend." Michael inclines his head toward the harpy and smiles.

"If I don't see you, we'll be sure to swing by." Michael looks surprised by the gift, and smiles as he takes it. It gives off a sweet tone as he shakes it. Too curious for his own good, he smiles apologetically and opens the wrapping. "Thank you, Salmoneus. It's very thoughtful of you to remember us. Happy solstice to you too."
