Jarod came down the stairs on his way to the kitchen and stopped a few feet from the desk. "Good evening, Becky," he said, blushing a little. "Did you have a good time at the party?"

"I did," Becky smiled, looking up at the ceiling. "You?"

"Yes, thank you." Jarod also looked up at the ceiling. Spotting the mistletoe, he decided he might as well take advantage of the opportunity to kiss a pretty girl. He walked over to the desk, leaned over, and kissed her softly, then pointed up. "Mistletoe."

Becky grinned. "I know. Good boy. You're learning."

"Well, people keep telling me I'm a genius," he winked.

"You didn't have to do that," he said, absurdly touched. This was the first present he could remember getting, other than what Parker did to his room. Then he opened the wrapping paper, and blushed purple. "T...thank you, Becky." He cleared his throat and pulled at his collar, suddenly very warm.

Miho is mostly an atheist with traces of Shintoism. However, she has a gift for Jarod as well. She hands it to him with no preamble, along with his Christmas bonus.

Jarod accepted his gift and smiled widely after he opened it. "Domo arigato, Mihosan." After another trip up to his room, he handed her several (http://www.karatedepot.com/wp-si-08.html) boxes (http://www.karatedepot.com/wp-si-13.html), wrapped in gold paper.

Miho's usual experience with electronics involves stabbing them (which she can do with her new gift, yay!) so she wasn't sure if the gift was appopriate. But Jarod seems to like it, so she is content.

"Thought you could use it with that nice brunette who helped you redecorate," Becky winked.

Becky is suddenly whapped upside the head. But it can't have been Miho, as she hasn't moved from her position.

Jarod once again flushed purple. "A..ah, no. I couldn't. We're...we're just friends."

"Sure," Becky nodded. "For now. But I know chemistry when I see it."

The Tick walked into the Sin carrying a sack of gifts over his shoulder. Lockheed trailed behind, holding a gift of his own. "Hello! Merry Early Christmas!" Tick said.

"Hello, sir," Becky smiled. "Merry Christmas a week early."

The Tick walked up to the desk and put the sack down. He then pulled out a small box (http://pics.livejournal.com/bugofjustice/pic/00011ece) and handed it to Becky. "I know that you like these, so I thought it would be a nice gift for you," he said.

"Oh, it's lovely!" Becky grinned. She glanced up above them, set the cross down, and, leaning across the desk, grabbed Tick and gave him a big kiss.

Tick was stunned. Once he was done being completely stunned, he pulled away. "Um. Err. Why... Err."

The Tick was currently confused and incapable of making an actual sentence.

"Mistletoe," Becky shrugged, pointing above. "I like tradition."

"Ah. Um. Er... Tradition is good. I like tradition, too," Tick finally managed to say. "Next time I'd appreciate some warning, though. But, err, thanks?"

"But that takes all the spontenaeity out of it," Becky pouted.

"Err. I suppose that's true," Tick said. He still seemed rather dazed. It wasn't every day that a girl who looked like his sidekick reached across a desk to kiss him. It was mildly disorienting.

Becky sighed. "I won't do it again, God. It didn't even mean anything. So stop looking all disoriented. You're a good friend, and it'd be...weird."

"Oh thank God," Tick said, sighing in relief. "It would be weird for many reasons." He was probably going to be kind of jumpy the next time he saw Rory.

"It would. Also? You're not my type. Sorry, honey," Becky said apologetically.

"Oh, no, no apologies necessary!" Tick said, gladly. "Trust me. I'm perfectly happy with our current friendship. As if that wasn't obvious. Which it should be to everybody, even if they are waving flags, omg."

Tick still looked a little weirded out. He probably would for a bit. And he'd probably stand at least three feet away from Becky for at least that same amount of time.

John dejectedly lowered his Becky/Tick 'ship sign. Which was done in tasteful b&w. Er, blue and white, that is. He also lowered his flag, too.

"Hello, Jarod! I was hoping you'd be here!" Tick pulled a long package (http://pics.livejournal.com/bugofjustice/pic/000123tx) out of his gift sack and gave it to Jarod. "It's not very whimsical, but I hope you like it."

Jarod looked thrilled by the gift. This was officially the second he'd ever received. "I've never received such a fine umbrella, sir. Thank you very, very much."

"I'm very sorry, but I don't have..." A thought occurred to him, and he ran upstairs to his room. After a few minutes, he returned with a small wrapped box (http://pezco.securesites.com/store/products/product_view.php?offerCode=250). "Merry Christmas, sir."

"Ooh!" Tick said, excitedly. "It's both shiny AND PEZ! You truly are a giver of great whimsy, Jarod! Thank you!"

"You're very welcome, sir! It's not everyone who appreciates the value of a good Pez dispenser." Jarod grinned, pleased with how well his gift had gone over.

"And this really is a good PEZ dispenser! Very valuable!" Tick noticed that candy was not included. He did, however, have more PEZ refills than he would ever willingly admit with Lockheed the Sugar Fiend around.

Miho takes time out of writing Christmas bonus checks for the girls to bring Lockheed and the Tick their presents. She hopes the Tick likes gingerbread as much as his purple dragon thingy.

She would also like to apologize for the unseasonality of some of the gingerbread. Those are all the cookie cutters they had.

If some of the gingerbread was unseasonal, Tick hadn't noticed because his mind was still slightly off after being kissed by Becky omg.

Unseasonable or not, Lockheed sure thought they were delicious! Tick tried one and gave Miho a thumbs up. "Very good gingerbread, Miho!"

Miho is not kissing Becky, just so she knows. She does, however, have Christmas presents for her: a box wrapped in shiny blue paper and an envelope containing a gift certificate for a year's subscription to Cosmo. She slides them across the desk toward Becky perhaps overly casually.
