Man About Town
Bored just sitting inside, Jarod decided that both he and the still as-yet-unnamed kitten needed some fresh air. He looped a small leash around her and put her on the ground as soon as they left the Sin.
The first thing he found out was that cats can't be walked like dogs. He spent the first ten minutes of his walk watching the kitten sniff the same four blades of grass, then sit down in them, then get up, move over four inches, and repeat the entire process.
This was going to be a very long walk, he could tell. Not like he had anything else to do.
And then a large number of ducks flew out of one of the shops. The kitten saw the motion and jumped up and down a few times, trying to catch them. He picked her up so she could see better. "How strange. I've never seen anything like that. Do you think we should be concerned?"
The kitten didn't answer, but she did wiggle until he put her back down on the ground. She sat down on the cement and stared at the ducks for a while. Jarod kept his attention on the shop.
