The Perk, Friday
Angela spends most of the day sitting at the counter, headphones on, paging through a collection of poetry. She sips at cups of coffee and watches the door for anyone who looks vaguely familiar.
[OOC: Open to anyone who wants to talk to Angela -- I'll be in and out all day -- or, as always, use for your own Perk patronage.]

"Did you get to see those tapes you mentioned?"

"I've got a list of the books that you were putting away, but unfortunately that's about it."

She rubs her forehead. "Do you know the phone number for the other Angela's parents, by some chance?"

Marty stops short and shakes his head.
"Not you, but yeah, I've got their number. They're probably freaking out by now."

Later that afternoon...
She morosely picks at a poppy-seed muffin as she flips through an issue of Rolling Stone.
Re: Later that afternoon...
for the first time ever, he realizedand ordered a coffee. Spotting Angela, but not noticing little things like the ten year age difference, he smiled. "Hello, Angela!" he said. "Your hair looks nice! It's a bit of a change, though."Re: Later that afternoon
"And thanks. My hair's been this way for a while -- you knew the other me."
Re: Later that afternoon
"The other you? I think you lost me."
Re: Later that afternoon
"It's some weird time travel/parallel universe thing. It takes too long to explain, but apparently the me who belongs here touched the wrong book or something in the library, and now she's somewhere else, and I'm stuck here. And I was here for, like, 15 minutes ten years ago, so being back is ... an experience."

on a plane, or anything."She twists the coffee cup in her hand. "I seriously don't understand how anyone lives here."
"Sorry for the monologue. I'm sure I should remember you, but I don't."

"Living here isn't so bad." Janet shrugs and takes a drink of her mocha. "You get used to the weirdness after a while."

She squints, continuing to try to place Janet. Something finally clicks. "Oh, god, you were squid girl, right? One trapped you in the bathroom or something? That was another very strange thing."
"I don't think I could get used to this type of weirdness, but I guess the other me did, somehow." She shrugs. "So do you have any ideas on getting me home? Marty said he had talked to the staff about getting into special collections and you guiys wouldn't let him, which really doesn't make sense to me."

Re: Friday Night
He's already playing footsie with her under the table, even though he's scooted his chair over right next to hers.
Re: Friday Night
She misses James. Again.
Re: Friday Night
"So... still haven't gotten Liz's present to her, but other than that, It's just a few more left for you, and those should be spaced out before the real Christmas thing, right?"
Re: Friday Night
He shrugs, though every now and then he glances back across the room, curiously. "Anyway. Yeah. I've got four more for you. They might be kinda a letdown after this one, though." Anders gets a funny little smile on his face as he looks at the ring.
