Caritas: Open 12/27
The music is hopping as Lorne opens the doors to Caritas
Apparently the new air freshener has given the Zombie band some extra pep.
[OOC: Going AFK until 10:00 EST. Feel free to drop by before or after.]

The Bar
Lounge
The Stage
Re: The Bar
He could feel the beat of the music from Caritas, and a good, stiff drink would definitely warm him up after a day in the cold. He hated that he had the crutches, but there was no way he was going to walk on his leg without assistance.
So he lumbers into the club and takes a seat at the bar, crutches neatly stowed underneath the bar. "Manhattan," he mumbles at the bartender. He just wants to get as drunk as he can, as fast as he can.
Re: The Bar
"Doc! Baby! Back again so soon? Was it my singing voice or the lure of my fabulous drinks that lured you here?"
Lorne takes a sip of his sea breeze and smiles. "Or is it your secret desire to sing Britney Spears songs when no one else is here?"
Re: The Bar
Re: The Bar
"Aw Doc... you kill me! Hell! I kill me! Bwah!"
Lorne takes another sip of his seabreeze.
"Well as your priest/rabbi/analyst/bartender, I'll give you the choice of your testimonial. Either get really drunk and I'll agree with everything you say. Get up on the stage and sing me a song and I can give you some insight into your problem. Or you can just give me a big tip and I'll leave you alone."
[OOC: Going AFK until after 10:00. I'll be happy to pick this up then.]
Re: The Bar
[OOC: Sounds good! I'll be here.]
Re: The Bar
((ooc: Yes, please, come talk to them!))
Re: The Bar
"The band is ready when you are Doc."
[OOC: feel free to e-mail me how you want Lorne to read your aura]
Re: The Bar
"Tino! Get this wonderful group of people something to drink!"
Re: The Stage
He sets the crutches down and ambles himself onto the stool. And starts to sing.
Just around the corner there's heartache
Down the street that losers use
If you can wade in through the teardrops
You'll find me at the Home of the Blues
I walk and cry while my heartbeat
Keeps time with the drag of my shoes
The sun never shines through this window of mine
It's dark at the Home of the Blues
Oh, but the place is filled with the sweetest mem'ries
Mem'ries so sweet that I cry
Dreams that I've had left me feeling so bad
I just want to give up and lay down and die
So if you've just lost your sweetheart
And it seems there's no good way to choose
Come along with me, misery loves company
You're welcome at the Home of the Blues
Just around the corner there's heartache
Down the street that losers use
If you can wade in through the teardrops
You'll find me at the Home of the Blues
Yeah, you're gonna find me at the Home of the Blues
Re: The Bar
And heads to the bar with a walk that is lass than graceful (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomtownies/489145.html?thread=19323577#t19323577).

Re: The Bar
"You've got a world of heartbreak on your shoulders, Doc. The only thing I could tell you is that the break will do you good down the road. Love can heal some wounds, but it can also make things worse. Take stock in that Doc. You've got bigger things coming to you in life now. You just need to look for it. People can recover from both emotional and physical setbacks. Wilson will. You will."
Then Lorne leans and says softly. "Even your mother will if she takes her time."

Re: The Bar
He nods slowly as he puts the drink down, his fingers curled around the glass.
"So, I should look for the silver lining, huh?" he asks, looking for a moment innocent and hopeful.
His other hand caresses the edge of the bar. Then he straightens and downs a bit more of the drink.
Re: The Bar
The lovely brunette waved her hand, trying not to stare at the very green person.
Re: The Bar
Lorne refills House's drink.
"This one's for free, Doc. Only cost is that you let me call a rickshaw cab for you when you go home."
Re: The Bar
"Can't go back there."
Re: The Bar
"Good to see you again Hunter! I see you've landed a lovely lady who is far too good for you."
Lorne turns and screams at the bar. "Tino! Get those drinks over here damn it!"
Re: The Bar
Re: The Bar
He swayed a little. Could have fallen off the chair, but caught himself. And laughed.
Re: The Bar
Re: The Bar
Re: The Bar
He finished the drink and tapped the glass on the bar.
"Think you could...get me a refill while we wait for that cab?"
Re: The Bar
"Now I don't suppose I could encourage one of you guys to get on stage and sing for me?"
Re: The Bar
He then mixes and pours another drink for House.
"Here you go Doc. A drink for you and a cab ride on the way."
Re: The Bar
Getting out there would be fun. A drunk on crutches with both his legs hurting. Or not hurting, as it were. Ah, alcohol, didn't just numb the mind.
When the cab arrived, House paid his tab, shouldered into his coat, and made his way to the car.
