The Park, on the way to City Hall, Wednesday evening

After hearing a brief summary of the Tex situation from Aeryn, then having a quick drink of milk to fortify his nigh-invulnerable bones before possible danger, The Tick was ready to offer whatever help he could to the mayor.

If anybody stopped him on his way, common politeness would require him to stop and chat, though.

[OOC: Mainly for [livejournal.com profile] kawalsky, but if anybody else really wants to talk to him, that would be fine.]

Church hadn't been able to track down the mayor. Considering the size of this stupid town, and the fact that the mayor was a big red dog, it was ridiculous. Church didn't have much luck. He did end up having pancakes, though. They were good too.

But now he was back to trying to save Tex. He'd been watching people, and now he was ready to make his move. "Tiiiiiiick," Church said in a spooky voice. Then he realized he wasn't in ghost form. He cleared his throat and tried again. "HEY TICK!"

"Who the hell is Major K!? Listen, I look like Kawalsky, but I'm not him. My name is Church. I'm just possessing Kawalsky's body so I can save Tex."

"Good! That's good. Tex needs to be stopped." He took a deep breath, because he actually had to keep up with the breathing thing when in a body. Kawalsky would be pissed if Church got him killed, and he didn't know whether it was possible for one ghost to haunt another, but he knew Kawalsky would probably try it. "I'm a ghost. I talked to Kawalsky and he said to possess his body so I could move around and try to stop O'Malley. O'Malley is the insane AI stuck inside Tex's head. None of this is Tex acting. O'Malley's in control of Tex's body. He's the one ordering the ducks around. I can possess Tex's body and try to force O'Malley out, but none of that can happen until all of the radios in the area are shut down. O'Malley can use radios - any kind of transmitters - and take control of them. That's why I haven't gone in yet and that's why I needed to talk to the mayor, except I CAN'T FIND HIM even though this island is so damned small!"

Church shook his head. "No one can stop O'Malley with hand-to-hand combat unless they're nigh-invincible. And even then, he'll just stay stuck inside Tex until she's dead, and *then* he'll just jump bodies and start all over again."

"Restraining her would make it a lot easier. Do you know how hard it is to possess someone who's on the move? It's hard. Really hard. If you're nigh-invulnerable, then you're the only one who stands a chance in a fight with O'Malley. But before we do anything, we're going to have to talk to the mayor to get all of the radios shut down so O'Malley doesn't go playing 'let's leap into the nearest radio'."

"A cheetah? That's like a puma, right?" Church shrugged. "I'll give you a call. I'm trusting you to go and find the mayor and tell him what's going on since I can't seem to find him anywhere. I'm going to stay here and keep an eye on O'Malley and the ducks. If anything happens, I'll call or send up a flare or something. We can't let O'Malley get into Tex's locker in the store or everyone on this tiny rabbit warren island will die."
