The Perk: Noon-ish

Jake wandered into the Perk, asked nicely for a cappuchino and settled down by a window table to read his book. In his backpack, he had his sketch set, a sketch pad, a notepad, a couple of pens and a rat plushie. Just in case. You never knew when you might need a rat plushie, after all.

((open for interaction and other threads and such. Or you could settle down and read a book too. Or maybe a comicbook.))

Callisto wandered into the Perk and caught sight of Jake. "Hey."

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-01-03 12:56 pm (UTC)(link)
"Sure," Callisto ordered a short black then sat down opposite Jake. "Interesting book?"

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-01-03 01:01 pm (UTC)(link)
"Could be both," Callisto grinned. "You met any of the new teachers yet?"

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-01-03 01:08 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, to start with the new principal is creepy, even by Fandom standards," Callisto rubbed her chin. "Still no word on the Art teacher, altough I could have sworn I saw someone who looked almost exactly like Coach at the New Year's Eve party, that could have just been the booze. The new journalism professor however..."

"She's nothing like Professor Jerusalem," Callisto's expression suggested this was not a Good Thing. "Admittedly I only actually met him once, but he gave off a completely different vibe."

"For starters she has some sort of quill that automatically writes filthy lies about people, and she called me a 'muggle', which did not sound like a nice term," Callisto sneered. "I don't like her."

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-01-03 01:43 pm (UTC)(link)
"Muggle," Callisto repeated. "Apparently it's what they call non-magical people where she's from."

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-01-03 01:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm not sure, magic's not really my thing," Callisto frowned. "If I had to go with my gut, she reminds me of Draco the most, but tthat's just a guess."

"Um, yeah, actually, just replace snarky with cloying bitch, and kinda fey with dried up crone."

"Not sure, probably stick with Art and Music, drop Sidle's classes, want to try and get into Professor Tick's class though," Callisto tapped her cup. "And journalism. You?"

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-01-03 02:26 pm (UTC)(link)
"Now you mention it campaigning might be useful, tactics too," Callisto said. "Especially with studne elections coming up. And tell the truth, I probably wouldn't even take journalism, if it wasn't for a couple of things."

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-01-03 02:34 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, that, and the good professor has something I want."

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-01-03 02:41 pm (UTC)(link)
"She has a scroll, it has some things she wrote about me on it, which, in addition to being complete lies, I do not want spreading any further than they already have."

[identity profile] psycho-barbie.livejournal.com 2006-01-03 02:50 pm (UTC)(link)
"Got it in one, Jake," Callisto grinned back.
