"Well, pal, I got my assignment I'm all squared away."

Chewbacca nods and hugs his cub hard. If he had a choice, he wouldn't go but the business is not merely urgent but vital to the survival of the galaxy.

"I'll be okay. Get outta here. You got a galaxy to save. Try not to let Misha rob 'em blind?"


Chewbacca watches the cub walk toward the school. He will be safe here as the Beautiful One is safe on the mainland. Han already did preflight.

He fires up the thrusters and slowly and gracefully takes the Millennium Falcon into the afternoon sky. He buzzed the island, waving at Han who was watching and waving back.

He would be back in five months.


[Wave goodbye to Chewbacca. Anyone living on the Falcon has been relocated. Anyone storing stuff has had it returned. Chewie will be back in May to pick Han up, but as an NPC]

Lana is watching out the window as the Falcon takes off. She knows he probably can't see her, but she waves to Chewie anyway, wishing him a safe journey.

As Zathras wafts his ship towards the town, Ivanova clutches at the bulkhead as he suddenly rolls sideways, yelping a bit. "Zathras, what was that?"

"Sunday drivers," Zathras muttered. "Always clogging airways. Zathras can barely fly."

Ivanova leaned over him, making him redouble his muttering, and pressed her nose to the viewport in time to see the Falcon disappear into the clouds and absently waved goodbye.
