Thursday at The Perk
CJ heads out to get a latte and a muffin, as well as to get away from the television. She now knows more about the creatures of the deep oceans than she ever wanted to know. Plus, now that she knows what squid do during the full moon, she's never snorkeling again.
Bringing her laptop along, she does last minute prep for her classes. She's in no way dinking around on the wireless internet, and absolutely isn't mesmerized by an optical rehabilitation image that her neurologist emailed to her.
As always, chat with her or use the post for your own Perk patronage!

After ordering a muffin and a mocha, she turned and looked for a place to sit.

[OOC: Pip is actually very friendly. Just jet-lagged. And he likes meeting new people. So please, come and talk with him.]

Hey, she's supposed to be nice to them, right?
"Hi. Okay if I join you?"

“Hmmm, this place will do nicely.”
She orders an espresso and inquires about the sale of whole beans. Then looks around for a place to sit or a familiar face from the night before. She notices Pip and walks over to him.
"Hello again fellow Pip and legal alian." she may or may not actually be a legal alian but she heard that term in a song once, "May I join you?"

Taking a nice cuppa to a comfy chair, he looks through a book someone kindly left nearby. A hard-boiled detective novel, with a sweet assistant and a dame with gams that don't quit. He snorts and begins to read. Until some silly person interrupts him, that is.

She walks to the counter and orders a double non-fat caramel macchiato and an oat bar and stands, scanning for either an empty table or one of the few people she met last night. Or anyone who looks vaguely friendly.

He ordered the biggest cup they had and sat down with a copy of the Washington Post.
He was so involved in making snarky comments about various politicians, he might not have noticed any familiar faces in the place.
Or any unfamiliar ones who might want to meet the new government teacher.

Ordering and receiving a tall latte with extra shots and cinnamon, Wilson wandered to a quiet looking corner with two chairs. Shrugging out of the leather jacket, he settled himself down in one of the chairs and took the journal out, trying to get through what exactly his peer was trying to say about gene therapy, because honestly...the man's writing was dreadfully dull.
